Stimulus check

The latest stimulus check notification hit our account today. Will be deposited on the 17th.

I have to wait for mine to come by mail, because even though I file taxes, I don't get a refund so they don't have my direct deposit address. The weird part is that I do get social security via direct deposit, I'm not sure why it still gets mailed. Since we have a postmaster general that according to the constitution should be in jail for intentionally taking action to try and destroy the U.S. Mail Service, it gets delayed. Kind of makes one all warm and fuzzy inside.

I just looked on my account and it’s there, dd has a different banking institution and it is not there yet or pre posted.

DD#2 has her tax check and her stimulus check pending as of today. We got our tax check at the end of last month, but our stimulus isn't pending yet.

We won't get the 3rd stimulus until 2021. We missed the cutoff by very little when the requirement for the threshold AGI was dropped again. We qualified before the dropped. The silver lining is we will be under the threshold AGI when we file 2021 tax return. The 3rd stimulus will go for 2020 or 2021 for those who lost their jobs end of last year/beginning of this year. That's us. Thank goodness they did that. Very thankful. Also going to have oldest who turns 18 this year, file independent for 2021 so they will get it too since they also got the shaft with the 2nd stimulus.

We don't get a refund, so we have to wait for our check to come. They mailed the first one, but we never got the second one. I know that we'll get to deduct it from our taxes this year, but it sure would have been nice to be able to pay a bill or two, or buy some heating oil, when we needed it. I have no idea if we'll EVER see this check.

Social Security has nothing to do with the IRS. They systems are completely separate. I read on CNET that there is now a way to put your DD information on file with the IRS if you don't get a refund.

We got ours today but the amount is more than expected. Maybe they used our 2019 tax information (had one dependent) and not the 2020 we filed in Feb this year. Will wait for the IRS letter to get more information.
