I am mystified over this one. Shows a deposit for us this morning. $2 for me and $4 for hubby? Why even bother? We got the last 2 of them , full amounts. How did they figure this one out????

I know they said the income thresholds are lower and will “phase out to zero” as it approaches a certain income. Is it possible you are right very near the cutoff income?

We still don't have the last one. I believe at this point we have to wait and get it on our taxes. So I'm not holding my breath on this one either.

We're in the same boat. We got the first one as a paper check in the mail, and never got the second one. I very much hope we don't have to wait and claim the third one on NEXT year's taxes.

nope..not even close. We only get social security, we are both over 65. Make nowhere near the $70,000 it says for couples filing jointly. This morning when I checked the 'where's my money' link..there was no info..I just checked again and now it says it will be deposited on Wednesday. So I am wondering what the heck the $6 thing was..we should be getting $1400 each. No wonder I am confused, lol

Could it be just a placeholder? Last time, our deposit from the IRS showed like $10, and it was the full $1800 (3 of us).

Ours isn't showing on our bank account yet (BoA) but it is showing on the IRS site as being ready to hit on the 17th.

I checked my bank's website (PNC Bank) and the IRS Where's My Refund Tool this morning and both say the stimulus will be deposited on 3/17/21.

Sometimes two very low amount deposits can be made to make sure it's your bank before a high value deposit is made. It's happened to us before.

I just looked at the IRS facebook page which is a little more clear than their website. Those non filers on ss, ssd, railroad and VA, they are updating and uploading the current information from those agencies. It says that the payment will be at a later date to be announced.

My bank doesn't give me notice that far in advance, but the IRS site says I'm getting something on the 17th.

We make more than that but get the full amount because $48,000 of our annual income is tax free allowances (military). Perks, I guess. Our taxable income is shockingly low.

Yes, housing allowance is the bulk of it and a couple hundred for BAS (Basic Allowance for Subsistence--essentially food money for my active duty husband) monthly.

Are you sure it’s talking about the check you will be getting, or about the last one that you already received? My daughter just got a letter today stating that she got her check several months ago, and if she hadn’t received it yet, to contact the IRS.

It did turn out to be about a former stimulus check, not the new one.

Ha, same here. But....if you got the stimulus checks.....would you spend it relatively quickly? A year ago I probably would have been all for them sending out stimulus checks to all but the uber wealthy because there was so much uncertainty. But a year into it, we all know who is doing ok, and who is not.

If we were to receive that stimulus money....we wouldn't spend it right away, and probably not at all...we'd save it. So I guess it makes sense to me this time. And the people in my extended family who have gotten all of these checks....are spending them as fast as they get them. Only two out of the six of them even had a temporary job loss, and they've been back to work for months now. But they all suffer from "HOTP Syndrome"....also known as "hole in their pockets syndrome". But...they'll be doing their part for the economy anyway .

I would have spent it nearly instantly. I would have had no problem stimulating the travel industry.

Three rounds of stimulus checks - and haven't received a dime.
I would like to stimulate the economy too! Kidding - this is where I just count my blessings.
