Our dvc contract closed on 3/5 and as of today we still had not received our member info...I called our title company and they looked into it for me. They said the contract has been transferred into our name but it may be another 10 days before we get our member info. Really?! Does it really take almost 5 weeks after closing to get member info? I'm trying to be patient but it's soooo hard plus we have points that are going to expire that we need to use and I want to try to book something ASAP! Does anyone know if maybe the title agent is "padding" the timeframe? I hope so!

If it truly closed on 3/5 (and you can look up the closing info on the OCC site http://or.occompt.com/recorder/web/)...then it should have taken 7-10 days to transfer and another 7-10 days to get your member # letter in the mail (if you already are members, you can go online and see your points just 7-10 days after closing)...could be tomorrow, but should not be another 10 days.

Thx for the link. I just checked and the deed was recorded on 3/5...so hopefully I will see something in the mail tomorrow!

Call DVC member accounting and they will tell you if you are in the system and give you the member # after a few personal security questions. Then they will transfer you to member administration for your club id and temp activation code to log into dvcmember.com to set up your online profile where you will be able to see your contract and make reservations.

At least they did it for me :thumbsup2

Hello - I will be doing this soon because my contracts are showing on the orange county site. so, All we need to do is call Disney, connect with Member accounting and ask for our Member ID #? That is all?

It takes about 10-14 days from the recording of the deed for the account to be created before they'll have a Member ID # for you.

DVC has extended their processing time on resales, some think that it's their way of restricting resale buyers even more. Their policy is to mail everything to the postal address provided to them by the title company.

Some have reported that they received help over the phone but it depends on who you talk to at MS.

My deed was recorded on April 24. I received an e-mail from my broker on May 5 saying the contract has been transferred to my name. I called the DVC member number, went to the accounting department, asked if I was in the system. I was given my member number and contract number then transferred for set up on the web site. After a few minutes with them, I was logged in. Booked my December trip within minutes.

Just to clarify is it Option 2 for Member Administration or Option 3 Member accounting?

Option 3; they're the only ones who can give you your Member ID#. Once you have that, they can transfer you to the department to get your online access set up. That department will give you your Club ID and Access Code.

I waited until I received my official letter from Disney with membership number.
Closed on 4-11.
Recorded with county on 4-15.
Did not receive letter from Disney until yesterday (5-5).

I called Member Services to ask for online access as soon as I had the letter. The girl was very unwilling to help- even blamed my seller (Timeshare Store) for not sending me the online access information- she said they should have sent the info as soon as I closed. I knew that could not be true- right? She put me on hold and came back awhile later with my club id and access code. How would Timeshare Store or my closing company have that?

I wont be calling member services unless I have to- plan to do as much online as I can.

Not sure if this is normal or not, but we called member accounting and got our member id # just now, documents were posted on the OCC site, April 29th!

All set up on the website with our membership and points already loaded from the 2 resale contracts we purchased - now to make our reservations, only Saratoga has full availability for our planned dates!

Ours was recorded with the county on 05/01/2014 ~ how long do you think before DVC has the information?

One of my contracts was recorded 04/29 the other contract 05/01 and I called Member accounting yesterday 05/06 and got my member # then contacted Member services for my club id and web activation code. I was all set up last night my points from both contracts already showing on my account and I was able to make my reservation for an 8 night stay starting June 29th!:cool1:
