Still waiting for Guidebook?

Just wondering if anyone out there is still waiting for their guidebook.

I've called approximately 6 times, and have been told at least 3 times that "the book has shipped."

The last time I called (mid-December?), she said that it would be shipped in 4-5 weeks(?!?).

It's so frustrating - we've been to WDW 3 times since they first shipped - but they refuse to let me pick on up, there. Apparently they're shipped from somewhere else(?), and don't just "drop one in the mail," but, rather, ship several at once - thus the "4-5 weeks" comment.

I also never got my pins. I expressed my disappointment with that, as well. They finally sent me two of the standard US Mickey pins you can buy in the parks, and attached them to the "Together, Memories, Family, Freedom" cards that the original pins were mailed on. A nice gesture, but I still wished they would have accounted for those pins that would be lost in the mail, and had some in reserves... That, coupled with the "garage sale" and "eBay" discussions makes me think that there was an apparent breakdown "somewhere" in the whole "patriotic pin" mailings...

That all being said - my Dues statement came right on time!!

...just venting and feeling like the only one without a guidebook..... :(

We live in NY and never received the new guidebook. I'd love to get a look at one, though I can't see giving up my binder! (not that I'll have much choice).

I would keep after them. DVC seems to have a problem with keeping track of its members. I conducted all the transactions but put my kids on the deed. DVC keeps sending all materials except the dues bill to my kids (guidebook, pins etc.) I have repeatedly asked to have my name be put down as the primary contact for all materials, and the best they seem to be able to do is to mail another copy of the guidebook to my address. I don't care if they send copies to the kids but I feel it is not too much to ask that all materials be sent to the original purchaser. Good luck!

We are here in NC and did not receive ours either.
We did, however, receive our dues bill!

Makes you wonder

When I did successfully get a second copy of the guidebook I got it as the result of an email to Member Services, not as the result of a phone call. Maybe you folks should try this approach if you haven't done so yet. Better yet call and ask for a supervisor to handle your request.

We finally did get ours. I wonder wht their going to do to update the legal informations as this is generally not covered in the new guidebook. Maybe they'll keep sending out the xerox pages and we can simply put it in our old guidebook.
