He wanted to know a couple of things. We usually take a trip in December (our anniversary) if the use year in December, are we using the current years points or the next years? Can we even book a trip for December when we wont be getting the points until then? Also, when took the tour a few years ago and he thought he remembers something about being able to buy tickets and airline tickets with points (maybe the dining plan as well)? Is that true?

If your use year is December, then:

2008 use year points are good for any trip between 12/1/2008 and 11/30/2009.
2009 use year points are good for any trip between 12/1/2009 and 11/30/2010.
2010 use year points are good for any trip between 12/1/2010 and 11/30/2011.
etc

You can always call to make a reservation 11 months prior to check out if you are staying at your home resort and 7 months prior to check out if staying at a non home resort. It doesn't matter what your use year happens to be.

All of your points are already in your account. To make a reservation, you just need to use points that will be valid for the dates of your stay.

You can't pay points for anything except lodging.
