Still Sassy after all this time!

Hi Tricia! Brian and I were talking yesterday about how we want to go to Mardi Gras once. We have been saying that since we met though. I think we'll wait till the kids are a little older so they can appreciate it.

Hi Tricia. Yes, my toes were warm and toasty too :rotfl:
I agree, Mother Nature is definitely not playing fair lately.

Hey ladies! Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Kimmy, sounds like you have a Keeper on your hands! What a sweet surprise!

We didn't do a whole lot this weekend. I came home from my trip & later that night Reece got a stomach bug. I've been shampooing, vacuuming (and repeating) the basement carpet & sofa for the past 3 days.:rolleyes1 He feels better now, and hopefully the rest of us are spared his misery!

And now.... without further ado....

And now... What you've all been waiting for...The Picture Extravaganza!!!

DAY ONE

Our room at CBR, and a few resort pictures that belie the fact that it was 32 degrees!!!!

Bon & I headed to DHS (Angie & Wilma were still en-route to the World). It was about 5 pm, and our first destination was Toy Story Mania. We had a 6pm ADR at 50's Prime Time, so I knew our chances of riding were slim. And.... they were! No FPs left for the day, and a 60 min wait time. We were standing next to the CM, looking bereft & contemplating our options, when we got thumped on the head with a potato-sack of pixie dust!!! The CM must've thought we looked like 2 girls who just lost their Tour-Guide barbies, because he gave us two FPs, that were good to use immediately!!! pixiedust:

The ride was awesome! Bon missed out on seeing Mr. Potato Head b/c the FP line bypasses him, but I got pics later in the trip.

Oh, and I'd like you to know that the men ahead of us in line were most DEFINITELY brothers. Just in case there's any confusion. (They mentioned that fact to us no less than 5 times. I think they were concerned we might think they were a "couple.":rotfl: Men!!)

The Magic Number 4
Started with Bonnie giving a Magical Express CM a "high 4" (since Mickey only has 4 mousey fingers). After that, we just stumbled upon a lot of 4s!
IMG_0103.jpg

Right after TSM, we ran to ToT, where we were placed in, you guessed it, Row number 4!
IMG_0094.jpg

Rode RnR right afterward, with very little wait. Couldn't believe how light the crowds were that night! (we spoke too soon.:sad2: )

Dinner was fun, though Bonnie's bread pudding could've been better put to use patching pot holes. Who knew pudding could be so chewy?:confused3 I think our servers were worn out. They looked tired & couldn't muster up a whole lot of enthusiasm, though Bon DID get a tongue lashing for her inability to give up the menu without a fight. :rolleyes1

Bonnie & I using our 50’s Prime Time glow cubes in a non-factory designed way--- to light up our gigantic mouths!!

After a bit of window shopping (trying to find the right Mickey Potholder for Bon's infamous assistant, Schmickloria), we headed back to CBR to rendezvous with Angus. Unfortunately, we had gotten a call from Wilma, whose flight was delayed. Poor soul didn't get in until really late!

Woo hoo-cloven hoof pictures!!! I also fear you may need to post a warning before posting that disturbing pic of me after Mission Space!! ;)

Well, it CAN lead to other things!!

hehehehehehe

RUM?

Like what? Claustrophobic toes? Toe therapy because they are being seperated from their family?

Yes to the rum though!

Thanks for the warning Shanaynay! I shall be properly prepared for foot/toe covering apparatuses. Meaning I'll peek through my fingers like I do at scary movies!

Sorry Kimmy! What can I say?:confused3 I need a hobby!

You may need to borrow Angie's paper barf receptacle!

Oh, and I must thank you for your care package! The mugs came in handy, and more importantly, so did the baked goods! Those flat, crispy-choclatey cookies were da bomb!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Thanks for thinking of us!

Where was I?

Oh yes. End of Day 1 at DHS. Bonnie & I headed for the bus back to CBR around 7:30/8 pm. I’d say the bus ride was fairly uneventful, up until the time that Bonnie told me the story of how she treated her neighbor to a viewing of her pants-less behind. Hilarious story! I almost peed my pants on the bus!! Which leads me to another Bonnie-related, perhaps TMI tidbit.

That woman pees A LOT. Don’t get me wrong-- the rest of the hags and I spent our fair share in the restrooms of the World, but Ms. Toot Sweet took it to a whole new level. At one point I thought I might need to send in the Coast Guard for a water rescue, and during yet another bathroom break, Wilma threatened to go Scary Nurse on Bonnie & catheterize her. The image of Bonnie lugging her bag of pee onto Soarin’ is quite comical (or disgusting, depending on your point of view.)

After arriving back at the resort, we went over to Angus’ room & chatted for a while. Wilma was still not there. I handed over the Sassy Headband that I created for her, and prayed she wouldn’t think it was the nerdiest thing ever. Well, they were nerdy, but in a fun, sassy way, that were appreciated by many passers-by. And not so appreciated by a certain man in line for Soarin’, but that’s a story for the next day.

Speaking of next day….

DAY 2

Epcot Day

Angus & Wilma knocked on our door around 8 am and we headed for the food court for a quick breakfast. This was the first morning we noticed THE CHEERLEADERS---and lots of ‘em. While we did see many cheer groups who were mannerly and well-chaperoned, the ones staying at our resort seemed to be on their own, and up to shenanigans. More on this to follow!

We hit Soarin’ first, (front row, naturally!) We got FPs for later, and popped into the stand-by line. The line was blessedly short, and we got to allay the fears of a very nice (Scottish?) woman who had never been on before, and who was a bit apprehensive. It’s always fun to watch the face of a first-timer during the ride. She loved it!

Next was Nemo, which I had never been on before. (But I did do the Nemo sub ride at DL, which is very similar.) Wilma was tied to a clamshell and publicly flogged for failing to wear her Nemo Seagull “Mine Mine Mine” shirt. It was a dirty, but necessary job. (Where was Mike Rowe when we needed him?)

Afterward we headed over to Journey Into the Imagination. There was NO one on that ride. Surprised? This was another ride first for me, and as we sat down to begin, I was thinking “Wow. It really stinks in here.” I had narrowed the offensive odor down to either Angie’s perfume, or skunk spray. The skunk spray theory panned out. Upon exiting into the laboratory section, we were stopped by yet another CM intrigued by our choice of headwear. She took our picture with the giganto camera. It turned out well, but slightly off-center. I believe that description fits the Sassies in general, no? I believe Bonnie is currently in possession of said photo, right?

Next we made a beeline for Mouse Gears (I needed a bag to carry all my junk). On our way, we ran into a CM on a Segway who wanted to know what we were celebrating.

At this point we had already tired of our “no husbands, no kids” answer, so clever Wilma & Angie had come up with the idea of telling people that our husbands were all in prison together, and that we were at WDW to celebrate. LOL. This guy looked rather bewildered at that extremely non-Disney answer, so we immediately let him in on the truth. He told us to stay put, and we waited for what seemed like forever and a day. He finally returned with Celebration buttons. He used a sharpie to not-so-neatly write “Ladies’ Weekend” on them for us. Not exactly the same as being Dreamed, but still cool. :thumbsup2

After Mouse Gears (and ANOTHER bathroom break for a certain someone. Ahem ahem) we grabbed FPs for Mission Space.

We bypassed Test Track since none of us relished the frost bite we’d surely have gotten, and headed for World Showcase. I wanted to try the new Kim Possible activity, so we made a pit stop on our way to get a Fast Pass-ish ticket for a Kimmunicator.

First stop was Maelstrom. Gotta love those trolls. And no, I’m not referring to the mean Norwegian CMs who were whispering insults about our Sassy Headgear. Umm, HELLO? We can HEAR you!!! We may not speak Norwegian, but trash talk is international! On our way out of Norway, we caught sight of Snow White coming out to her post. Yup! My very first princess picture! Since I usually roll through WDW with three males, you can imagine how little time I have to even look at a princess, much less get a picture with one. Score!

Correct me if I’m wrong ladies, but was this not the photopass guy who referred to us as “Aging Princesses?” Humph!! The nerve! We continued to reference this rather rude title the rest of the trip.

Details are fuzzy after Norway, but I believe it was Mexico, where we admired the (expensive) crafts & took a ride on the boat.

At this point we were hungry, and made our way toward Morocco for food. We all ate at Tangierine Café. The food was tasty, but I do not believe I’d be lying if I said it was the coldest meal any of us has ever sat through. Brrrrrrrr! You know it’s cold in WDW when you spy Aladdin & Jasmine and Jasmine is wearing a full-length coat!!! Whilst at our table eating lunch, Bonnie discovered that there were fellow DISers at the table next to us. Brief introductions were made, but there wasn’t much conversation. I believe we were all focusing on not losing feeling in our extremities. Priorities, right?

After Morocco we went to Japan. Bonnie was looking for Pokemon stuff (freakiest stuffed animals I’ve ever seen) and I stumbled upon my now infamous flip-flop socks. My toes thanked me immensely, though my fashion sense did not.

IMG_0098.jpg

IMG_0097.jpg

We flip-flopped around World Showcase a bit, so one of the other women is going to have to set me straight. I know we went to America at some point and watched singing and then the show upstairs. Was this when we got the hot chocolate as well? I'm so confuzzled! (shocking, I know.)

Picked up our "Kimmunicator" at a cart in Italy, and dilly-dallied around Germany in effort to successfully complete our Kim Possible mission. It was entertaining, but the Kimmunicator could have done with a little less Kimmunicating. In other words, it talked A LOT. Much like moi. Angus was ready to chuck it into World Showcase Lagoon.

We saved the world from the evil mind control pretzels (don’t ask), and moved on.

I think this is the point we headed back to Future World to use our Fast Passes.
Wilma & I did the non-wimpy version of Mission Space. We pushed our buttons in a timely fashion, thus saving our crew from a fiery Martian death. Bonnie & Angus sat this one out.

We brought Angus a little souvenir! Her very own barf bag! Just what every princess needs. Here she is demonstrating the proper technique. Very convincing, no?

Next Up: Soarin, Take 2

Where was I?

IMG_0098.jpg

IMG_0097.jpg

This just in, ...interpole is looking for four persons who have been know to cause panic and havoc wherever they happen to be.

WDW Security has requested help from any/all law enforcement, and currently several hundred are forming a task force to deal with the problem.

In a possibly related story, WDW has run out of RUM!!

Shannon, I so love the socks. :lmao: I can see them being added to Kimmy's buy list, as I type.

So, we have a pee'er and a puker (2 pukers, Toots, did Angie share the bag) and a photobug/teller of all & a purty pants nurse.
Yes, Wilma I love your pants.

Angie, you're a little shaded there, witness protection program?

Well worth the wait for the dirt. I'm :rotfl2: this morning. Shannon, great reporting job.

Good Morning Sassy Ladies and Grumpy Pirate if your lurking.

Shannon I've never seen toe mittens before. :lmao: I'm loving the trip report, you're a natural.

Judi why am I craving chocolate and it's only 6:00? :confused3

Good Morning Tricia

I don't think M&M's are the chocolate you're thinking about.

The girls need beads for their next trip. They would go rather nicely with the sassy headbands, don't you think :teeth:

If anyone needs beads I've got plenty to share. They are just sitting up in the attic collecting dust.

Tricia

We will plan on coming down so we can have our own float. Seems you have the bead department handled. :thumbsup2

Cole is on the bus, yes I checked school closing today. Someone remind me tomorrow;)

Hahaha! Love the trip report Shannon and thanks for the warning on the toe mitten socks those are pretty scary and my toes cringed! Those Norweigian cm should have been flogged!

Good morning Sassies! Justin is home sick today and of course its the day I was supposed to volunteer in his class. Typical of how my boys roll! I gave him a shot of RUM and he is sleeping soundly once again!;)

Judi, do you still have snow? We have just a tiny bit, we were supposed to have a huge storm tomorrow, but they have changed their minds. Yeah!!
