Still On Hold

I stayed on hold last night for 30 minutes with Disney trying to make a payment so I thought I would call back after an hour. Same thing happened. Now I am home from work and been on hold for 30 minutes again! What is going on. I am trying to make a payment on our package and I can't find no longer where the link to pay online is and when I call I have to go thru the automated computer that says she will take the payment which at the very end she says she is experiencing difficulties so she will have to connect me with someone, which apparently isn't happening. Someone tell me a secret to this please!
 
The secret is patience. MDE has been buggy since just before the weekend...ha, who am I kidding...it's been buggy since launch, but I started noticing random issues with my reservation since just before the weekend. I'm guessing it has something to do with the roll out of AP holders being able to book FP+ in advance? :confused3 Who knows why for sure. If you refresh it once or twice or a few times, the payment link will eventually show up. It's up to you if you trust it to accept your payment properly. Their phone lines are probably busy because of this problem.
 
Well I took your advice and waited patiently and after one hour I finally got to speak to someone. He was very nice and took my payment but when I asked why was the wait sooooo long he acted like that was the first time he heard that! He wasn't rude and I'm sure that is his script but he said "oh really, sorry about that, I guess we have been very busy the last two days". I wasn't rude and told him I was just curious as I had never waited that long before. But thanks for talking me off the ledge and your right I wouldn't have trusted making a payment on-line with all the trouble they are having.:flower3:
 

I tried making a credit card payment online today and it said it didn't work. So I did it again. Lo and behold, I get charged twice on that CC. I don't really care enough to contest it. I still owe money on the package, so being charged $400 instead of $200 doesn't bother me much (it did lower my balance owed to Disney, so the only glitch was really the website telling me it didn't take the payment when in fact it did)

Great IT they have there at Disney. :badpc:

That's good to know because my next payment would be to PIF and I really don't want to double up on that. Thanks for the heads up. Guess I get to clean the house while on hold...that or catch up on the train wreck that is the Bachelor. :laughing:
 
I had same issue today. I also tried making my dining resv this am via online and it took me over an hr. I would get all the way to reserve resv (after entering credit card info and all) and then I would get a message that the server was busy. This started at 6:45am. I called in and still kept trying to do online as well to see which one worked faster. I was on hold for quite a while. In the past; it would take me about 15-20 mins to make 7 resv. It was very frustrating. Good news is I still was able to get all my reservations.
 
Someone tell me a secret to this please!

The secret is...when the system is doing wonky things, it means they are working on it and/or it's down. Call or come back the next day (after clearing cookies, cache, and history and maybe even switching browsers).
