Still not clear for DDP tipping when

part of your group is on the plan and the other isn't. My DSis and Dn are eating with us at all of our TSs. We are a party of four with her and my niece we become a party of six. They aren't using the DDP. I know we will all have 18% added to our bill due to a party of six but will hers be 18 % of what she and her daughter ate or part of the total bill for the table? It wouldn't be fair since our bill will be higher. It seems it would be just on her ticket but then if it is only two diners on one ticket how are they going to add the auto tip? We are leaving Wed. so I'd like to know ahead of time if it is possible.

If you have separate checks, which I think would be a must in this situation, the gratuity will be on the amount of each bill.

I overheard a group in this situation sitting near us at Sci Fi today, and they gave them 2 separate checks - one for those on ddp, and one for those not.

If you split the check, your bill should show 18% based on what you four ordered, her bill will show 18% of what she ordered.
