Next week I want to visit the GF to check the resort gift shop for specific merchandise. Will I be able to drive and park there without a dining reservation? We will be on site for a day pre-cruise so we don't have any park days planned where we could just pop over to the GF.

I think all we can say is "Maybe" - discussions and reports have been people have turned people away, at least one person said they've been able to get past security to get to a resort. If you get turned away and you're up for a walk you can get park at TTC and make the 15 minute walk to GF.

I'd park either at a Disney Springs garage or at the TTC and take a bus or the resort loop monorail to the GF. It's only the second stop from the TTC as you may know.

That way, you won't have the uncertainty of possibly being refused entry.

We saw several animated conversations with resort gate guards that resulted in u-turns to leave when we were going to dine at various resorts in November.

Things could change between now and next week, of course, but given news of how rapidly Omicron2 is spreading in Europe and China, I wouldn't count on Disney letting up on any current resort capacity restraints.

I like to arrive at The Grand Floridian by boat.
Take a bus to Magic Kingdom, then walk over to the Grand Floridian boat launch right out front of MK. It’s a quick and beautiful boat ride. After your shopping, take the monorail one quick stop back to Magic Kingdom and hop on a bus back to your resort.
