Ladies and Gentlemen. Please direct your attention to the center ring.
In that ring, you will see Nebo, sitting at his computer, and trying to come up with something that is worth putting in print!
Yes, it's true. I got nuttin, you're gettin nuttin, Diane's gettin nuttin, and I'm gettin nuttin for Christmas. It's very simple, really. Sometimes, just nuttin happens.
Believe me, there's a reason I haven't put in a chapter in a week. It's because I got nuttin.
DId I mention that?
Here, let me show you.
That morning, tuesday, we went down to the pool for a bit, then went over to MGM. Then we came back.
Ok, thank you very much, I'll be back with another exciting episode sometime, somewhere soon.
Stay tuned!
You don't want to miss the next one!
However, since I"m here, and you're not, you all are way ober by dere, I'm gonna wing it. As you know, I have no problem exaggerating a story, or a conversation a tad. But I have never just made something up out of the blue, for the sake of being funny, or at least entertaining.
Nope, that's cheating.
So, tonight, your stuck with just me, mythoughts, and I.
Thought one:
If you go see the Mist, by Stephen King, now playing in the theatres, be prepared to slash your wrists when you reach the car. They changed the ending for those that might have read the book.
And, thought two:
Crap, I don't even have a thought two.
See thought one, and square it.
Oh shoot, that doesn't work either. One squared is still one, right?
C'mon magic keyboard, I've had nothing before and you never let me down, don't just sit there like a bunch of chiclets, looking at me.
By the way, concerning the writers strike, and if they're signs should be blank?
Maybe it just needs to be put in perspective with all the great writers.
Allow me.
I don't think they are just having a hesse fit, I think they can really goethe distance. This has been just a tolkien reminder, and yes, it could get whittier.
Ok, see what happens when I've got nuttin?
That morning, we went to the pool, stayed for a bit and went back and changed for MGM. While we were there, I finally got to take that picture of Diane's leg, when that couple walked by when we were sitting on a bench and the girl looked and went "Yewwww"!
There really isn't that much there at that park that we like to do anymore.
Star Tours is now really dated, and boring. Heck, they have already gotten rid of Back to the Future at Uni, and that just blew away Star Tours.
Rocknroller Coaster doesn't impress me. It's just a dark coaster with a few loops. No big deal. Give me a big woody anytime. Like the Beast. Uh oh, that line's gonna cost me, I know it.
As usual, we saw the Muppets, and probably the highlight of the day was when miss Piggy peed on my back.
I'm not kidding, it was right after this picture.
I recently found out on Utahmama's trip report that there is a hiddne switch somewhere.
NOW SHE TELLS ME!
After that, we kind of staked out a spot for the afternoon parade, one we haven't watched ever much. I got in one picture,,,,,,
Then, as I was trying for a better shot when they were going past, this rotten kid and his dad popped up just as I was shooting.
Honest, I love kids, I even used to be one once, but this guy couldn't stop whining the whole time we were staking out that spot.
Of coarse, I didn't know that I captured him for all of posperity until I got home and had the film developed. I seem to catch a lot of things on film that I don't realize at the time.
Just ask Disneydad.
We did catch Beauty and the Beast after that, and let me tell you, the acapulco singers in the preshow are just as good as the play itself.
For the uninformed, these are singers without any accompaniemt, they just harmonize.
When that was over, we just looked at each other, no words spoken, and walked over to the Mediocre Movie Ride. People were already heading into Fantasmic, and it was still an hour and a half away. I'm sorry, I like the show, but you really have to be in the mood for that kind of vigilance, guarding your seat. It would also mean having to stand in line at the top for a couple of beers,,, and they will only sell you one at a time, so we'd have to go separately.
Yes, I have gotten around it before, but it almost got me tossed out of Disney. See the last trip report.
Anyway, we decided this time to skip the "Running of the Bulls" show, I did kind of miss it, not the show, but the escape afterwards, that's always interesting. With that decision made, we headed out to our bus stop, with the thoughts of a nice meal in you heads back at the resort.
Oh no, not Maya Grill, not even Pepper Market. You big sillies! We have used up our dining plan, and now!!!,,,,, it's time to hit the baloney sandwiches that we have faithfully been keeping the ingrediments cold for all this time.
"Butter, mustard, or mayo"
"Gee Honey, why don't you surprise me."
"Ok, mayo it is.
"Um, what part of surprise,,,,,, oh, never mind"
Now, who said what in that last exchange?
I'll never tell.
I did add some cottage cheese, and macaroni salad, with cheetohs for dessert.
Ah yes, dinner of champions.
You know, what's funny is that there was a time in an early trip report that going back to the room for a baloney sammich meant something else. Sorry, not tonight though. It meant a baloney sandwich.
And no butter.
One thing we did do was before we ate, right after we got back was to have a cocktail sitting by the pool, which was twenty steps from our door.
That was one thing bad about our room. You see it was right on one of the inside corridor corners, the ones that cut right through to the parking lot. And even though we had a "pool view", the lot and our car was right behind us.
Now, why is that a bad thing you ask?
Lemme talk atcha face an yous'll see.
AT THIS CORNER, WEIGHING IN AT 4,785 POUNDS, IS THE ENTIRE HOUSEKEEPING STAFF, AND THE MAINTENANCE WORKERS!
I thought it was kinda funny really.
Not Diane.
"She, who must not be disturbed."
Oh, she was disturbed all right.
They all showed up at ten to eight in the morning, every morning, with seven of them piling out of a minivan. Then they would all start jabbering, talking about their schedules, who's doing what, I really don't know, the little Spanish I speak, went by way too fast for me. But every morning they congregated right outside our door.
One day, that actually turned out to be a good thing, but, I will get to that. But, tomorrow is another day, (boy, that line sounds familiar, doesn't it?) and tomorrow, we are finally going to see "Devine"!
goodnight, and God bless
