Still double dipping FPasses???

For anyone with MBands there this week - are you still able to pull regular fast passes? I am guessing you need to get there early to do so, since it seems like they are running out quickly.

Just got back yesterday and was able to use both the whole time. I didn't notice FP going any faster than normal.

Thanks! Should I use my kttw to enter the park or the magic band? Does it matter in terms of pulling regular fast passes?

We entered with MB and had no problem getting normal FP. In fact we "triple dipped"! Since we did not buy a package deal and bought our park tickets separately we received both magic bands and tickets (on cards) in the mail plus KTTW during check in. In the parks we were able to get FP using KTTW and then immediately get more FP using our park tickets, all in addition to FP+. It was wonderful.

I only used my magic band to enter the park. Was able to get fastpass with any ticket card I had in my possession. Hard tickets purchased from a third party vendor, room cards and cards not connected to anything.

But to be honest we didn't need Paper fastasses. Hollywod studios was practically empty today. Ride times were way off. Tower of terror listed 50 minutes for standby. We walked up with fastpasses, and there wasn't another person in any line all the way tò the elevator.

Toy story listed 80 minutes, but it was more like 20.

But, with all that said...regular fastpass distribution is getting wiped out earlier than expècted.

I would be afraid at this point to separate my tickets. My fastpass + selections might disappear.

Yeah I wouldn't separate. While it was cool using multiple tickets to get FP we only actually did it once because we just didn't need to anymore than that.

I have heard old KTTW cards are letting you pull fast passes? Is this right, how does that work?

We were there 8/5-8/13 and were able to double dip. Surprisingly, we didn't need/want to very often! I'd say we double-dipped about 3 times the whole trip. It helped that we were MUCH less commando and more laid back on this trip.

I guess I'm a bit confused. I thought with Magicbands you wouldn't get any type of room key. Why would you have a room card if you had a Magicband?

I think they're for backups in case of glitches.

This is done during testing, and might change at any time.

They issue both a ticket and a MB just in case one (the MB, likely) fails to operate correctly. The other is a back-up.

One of our MB's never opened our resort door, but our KTTW card did.

Here now. In line for TOT. Works for me.
Walked up to tower.
Pulled Tower w KTTW card for 9:10
Fp+ 9 for TSM. Worked perfectly.
Using our fp- at TOT now. Will use fp+ at 10 for rnrc

FYI return time for fp- on TSM was 6:30 when we finished
rnrc was 3:30

A lot of people are complaining that the fast pass lines are getting Looonggger. The double dipping may be the reason. Oh well, I plan do do the same if I still can when I get there in December. Have fun all!

Somehow I doubt that the "x dipping" has that much of an impact.

Haven't had any problems with fp waits. Been pretty good there.
