Still Confused about reserving Fastpasses

I have read all I could find about Fastpass plus and how to reserve your selections. My window opens tonight and I would like to clear some things up. On the MDX page, there is a button that says choose you FP. I clicked that today and the dates I am going to be there are greyed out. My question is tonight at midnight will they become blue and allow me to select them? Thanks. Probably a stupid question but I couldn't find the answer anywhere.

Yes. They are grey because you are not eligible. Once you are, they will become blue.

Just to give you an idea of what it will look like - every blue date is within 30 days, grey is outside of it, and it updates at midnight

Yes, your booking can begin at that Time.

If I can give a suggestion to help you with your planning....

We have been in WDW in September, 5 or 6 years in a row now. Fastpasses are better used late in the day, instead of early. Early in the AM, almost all attractions are walk-on. Later in the day, the waits are longer.
