Still confused about canceling and points

I have a reservation at Aulani in a few weeks, September. My use year is October, home resort BWV and a scheduled trip to WDW in November. If we decide to cancel our trip, will we lose our points? I could post in the Aulani board, but folks here are much more responsive and better knowledge. I should know this answer, I’ve had my DVC for 20 years, but I’m still confused with all of the Covid this and that and just basic rules!

Any points from a canceled September trip with an October UY, will indeed expire at the end of September.

Since it sounds like you are less than 31 days out, all points will go into holding….although it’s not huge since they expire end of September anyway.

Now, you can certainly call MS to see if they are making any exceptions case by case, but there are no more official policies in place.

Unfortunately, this is the drawback of traveling at the end of your UY.
