Still able to meet Jafar?

So I told my wife that what I really wanted for my birthday this year is to meet Jafar (we will be at WDW during my birthday). Apparently she called and they said he hadn't been out in "years" and I found that hard to believe.

So the question is, is he still available for Meet and Greets? And if so whom do I need to contact at the park to find out when/where?

On a side note, my DD (3.5) can't wait to meet him to tell him to "stop being evil" as we call him "Evil Jafar".

I saw him at DHS when we went in December, he was in the character area with Lotso The Animation Building.

Jaraf is *not* retired, but he doesn't do regular meet and greets, either.

Your best bet to meet Jafar is at "Characterpalooza". This happens on non-early Fantasmic days at Hollywood Studios. Random characters, often villains, do meet and greet activities on these days in the late afternoons - currently, the times are 4:50: 5:20, and 5:50 PM.

Jafar has been known to appear at Characterpalooza, sometimes, quite regularly.

***edited the times above!

My thoughts exactly. There is where I have seen him.

Awesome thanks for the info. Of course now I wonder if she was trying to trick me into thinking he wasn't there...:confused3

My DH also was a big fan of Jafar , we all loved when they had the Aladden Breakfast Buffet glad to hear he is still around !

Everything posted here is accurate. Technically he is not a regular for meet & greets. Characterpalooza is a random sort of thing, and while he is semi-regular there, you won't find anyone promising him there on any given day. They don't even list Characterpalooza in the times guide, because that's not even a given. But it's your best bet unless you're going to the Halloween party.

We saw him on our Sept 09 trip at Characterpalooza, but he wasn't part of the groups we saw in Dec 10.

This is probably a stupid question-So what is a non-early Fantasmic! day?

We are going to DHS on a Fantasmic! day in June. That day Fantasmic! is scheduled for 9PM. If there is no other Fantasmic! on that day would there be a Characterpalooza?

Similar question. Do you think they will have Characterpalooza next week? Fantasmic is scheduled for everyday at 8:30 and 10:00. So it is late, So maybe? or maybe not?

We went last week and those were the times listed for Fantasmic and they did have Characterpalooza. It was really fun! Oh and Jafar was there!

My understanding is it's a day without a 6:30 Fantasmic.

A non early Fantasmic day is a day when there is no Fantasmic show at all, or when it's only showing on a "late" time. An example here in the thread is with an 8:30 and a 10:00 show. 8:30 will probably be considered to be the early show, so no characterpalooza. If it was only a 10:00 show, then it would likely happen that day.

There are two fantasmic shows every day? :scared1: That hasn't happened for, what, three years? I'd wager that the schedule will change/is inaccurate.

Again, though, this is only a guideline. Characterpalooza may happen more now that the shows are later, period - until recently, an "early" show was considered to be 7:00 PM.

The best thing you can do is ask if it's going to happen that day.

This was taken in the Animation Building last May,and Fantastmic was on that evening!
