STICKY: Vintage home pics from DL!

I laughed so hard when someone pointed out that the guy waiting in line looks like Borat, and it appears he is without pants on.

Alas, he also sort of looks like Tom Selleck's not-so-cute cousin, and that's about how short "Magnum's" shorts were in that show sometimes!

I would love to share pictures, but my dad seems to find it impossible to send me the pix he has so I can copy them. Grr.

I actually started this thread hoping for pics from peoples personal files...but these old images from others are fun, too. I know you're supposed to give credit where credit is due and I suck at that cause I just go around getting pictures that I like and storing them in a file of "old disney." I'll start keeping better track.

I will mention this one guy's site who I found a few (if not all) of the following. He wrote a book about the Disneyland Hotel... he's got a great site!


This is TOO awesome.. I wonder when this was taken away (it was in the DL hotel) because I feel like I"ve been to it when I visited there in the 80's but maybe it was gone by then and I'm just remembering something else?

I created a blog on the Original Disneyland Hotel. I have posted some great, vintage shots of the original Hotel, the surrounding area, old brochures and many other interesting items from the Disneyland Hotel's rich history.

Here I am in the very early 80's on Main St. I sure hope my friend wasn't planning on shooting the horse. Do they still sell these fake guns at the PoTc shop?

Oh that poor horse. lol. I wish they still sold those guns. I think they stopped selling the rifles and guns bc they look "realistic," at least in those days I guess. Now the guns are lime green and orange. Bleh! Now I regret never getting one even though I'd never play w/ it.

I don't have any old pics of me bc they're probably in an album somewhere. So here are a couple of my fav pics of pics at the Opera House.

I think they look adorable!
