Stickles

I've seen lots of layouts here and elsewhere that have included the use of Stickles glitter, and I love the look. I haven't been able to find any locally, though. I did check the Ranger products website and the stores listed as carrying their products either don't carry Stickles, or I don't know because they are too far away from me.

I found a couple of online sources. One of them ships at a flat rate of $5.99. There are about 14-16 color choices at the site.

My questions:

-Is the product worth paying shipping to get it?
-If they are really THAT good, and I want to use them primarily on our Disney album for our upcoming trip, which colors are the "must haves"?

Thanks. If you have other suggestions that make glitter application EXTREMELY simple, I'd love to hear those, too.

I got my stickles from scrapbookpal.com. It was recommended to me by rlovew. Free shipping for $25.00 order. Yes I think it was worth it. I love to add dimension to my cricut pieces with Stickles. A color you might not think to get is black. I have used it on some of the animals from AK cart. Also, get a white one --there are many different ones to choose from. I have crystal and I like it. The yellow and orange are very nice too. I guess you should think about what you might use it on to decide your colors. For Disney, I think black, red, yellow, white. If you are doing princess stuff, you'll need the pastels and silver I would think.

They are very good, much finer nozzle than the typical glitter glue you get for kids craft activites. They do take a long time to dry (like all glitter glue) and sometimes the paper does pucker a little if you use a lot. But I love the effect - great for fireworks! - and there's so many colours to choose from. I'd look around and see if anyone is offering free shipping, or free shipping over a certain amout. If you can get the from cut@home they have a discount for VIP customers

Like you, I had seen lots of layouts and embellishments using Stickles. I looked at Hobby Lobby, Joann's and Mike's. No one had it! Then, when we were at the beach, I left my husband and kids digging in the sand and went to check out a little scrapbook store that was inland. She had Stickles!!! She showed me many things she had used it for. She had a limited selection, so I only bought silver and gold but she gave me her bottle of Crystal (her favorite because you can use it with any color)! Then, I went to the Scrapbook Expo and lots of vendors had it, some way more expensive than others. Just last week I found some on clearance at Joann's (where was it before? ) And just today, Archiver's had it!

It is great, way better than the usual glitter glue. So just keep looking and you should find it. It sells for $1.49 to $1.99 around here, so the $5.99 shipping charge from online sources seems like a lot to me.
