Sticking to my diet, but allowing one free pass - what one WDW treat would you chose?

Hmmm . . . a "carb" treat doesn't necessarily have to be sweet! Is there any kind of savory carb you've been missing - like a special sandwich or potatoes fixed a certain way, or pasta? Something that is indulgent but not necessarily going to put you in a sugar coma? I'd probably go for something like pizza or the rice bowl in China at Epcot, or something like that before I'd go for something sweet. I love those rice bowls! Or breakfast with the works - hash browns and biscuits are so yummy!

I don't eat a lot of sweets - but I could sure find plenty of carb loaded goodies without it!

Sweet cream cheese pretzel at Magic Kingdom

Or the best dessert of the world: Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding:worship:
at Raglan Road

The strawberry shortcake at Beaches and Cream would be my first choice.

My 2nd choice would be a mickey ice cream bar.

Given one dessert or treat on your entire WDW trip, what would it be?

Dole Whip Float hands down. :thumbsup2 Having said that, I find it much easier to have a bite or two of DH's desserts; I feel satisfied and never deprived or have the urge to binge on sweets. Portion control is key for a lifestyle change with regard to food.*

* Note, I did not use the D word. ;)

I gotta go with the Dole Whip!!! I'm thinking this october I gotta try that butterfinger cupcake- it looks AWESOME!!!!!

Good for you! Low carb is very sustainable, even at Disney (says the lady who completely went off her low carb lifestyle for her entire vacation this year, and is now fighting bitterly to get back to where she used to be). I did it on a prior trip, although I didn't like it.

For just 1 thing, the Dole Whip would probably be the least carb-y, but the tastiest would be either the Butterfinger cupcake or the Red Velvet cupcake. Sadly, I had half of each this year (split everything with DH) as well as the wonderful bread the Starring Rolls sandwiches are made with.

I would go for the bread pudding at 'Ohana. How can you resist? Not to mention all the meat would be perfect for a low carb diet! You should call and see if you can get an ADR. The bread pudding is calling your name!:yay:

I agree! Great low carb menu with all the meats and then banana fosters bread pudding for the splurg. I can not wait till our ressie there in December. :woohoo: Best thing at Disney, hands down :thumbsup2
