stewarts airport in newburgh ny???

has anyone flown out of this airport? and if so can you tell me about it?
i have been looking at the cost of flying out of here versus the city or new jersey. albany is out of the question. way too much for tickets. i would either have to drive and park or take the train to the city and then transfers. so far i have figure it would probably be cheaper to leave from newburgh. i only live about 45 minutes away. and it is just me and DS traveling. DH cant leave work. not going until may so i have time. thank you for any advice you can give!

Stewart airport is a great alternative to the city airports. I live about twenty minutes away and use it anytime I can. It's a small airport that has easy parking and is within five minutes of I87/NYS Thruway. They have both short term and long term parking available, and being that it is part of an Air Force base it feels very secure. We live in between both Stewart Airport in NY and Newark Airport in NJ. My neighbor would rather fly out of Stewart. She said that it's not crowded like the bigger airports and she's not afraid to park her car there.

We are flying out of Stewart to go to Fort Lauderdale this Thursday. Our first flight from Stewart. I'll let you know what I think.

I have flown once out of Newburgh about 5 years ago. Lines were shorter and it was much easier to park. You may also want to look at prices from Westchester Airport (HPN). They have many flights out to FL each day and I always try to book here when the price is right.
