Hi everyone! I hope you are having a magical :wizard: day so far, if not, hopefully this trip report will add a little pixie dust to your day!

I'm Lia, and I will be guiding you through the zany, wacky, over-the-top, captivating, SPELLBINDING events that occur on this trip - once I go on it.

Let the pre-tripping begin!!!!

CAST:
ME! Hi, I'm Lia. At first I considered not posting my age here, for security reasons, but mostly because I was afraid I wouldn't be taken seriously and no one would read this report. But then I realized, I don't see a lot of trip reports being done by teenagers! I find it's mostly Moms or Dads. I thought it would be interesting to read a report through my eyes - my 16 year old eyes! Now, I am young, but I have been through a whole lot in my life that has matured me way beyond my years! Not to fear, I am not angsty and bratty. I am loud, outgoing, upbeat, and (most of the time, I hope) pretty nice!

Here's my Disney background: I have been obsessed with Disney since pretty much birth and when I say obsessed, I mean obsessed to the point where I can't even tell you what my favorite Disney movies, shows, characters, parks, rides, etc are because I love almost EVERYTHING so much! I'm very much into the little details of the parks. I like to spend a LOT of time everywhere, i'm not one of those people who hop from attraction to attraction to attraction without stopping. I love all the WDW secrets and will spend hours finding hidden mickeys. I love traveling to the resorts just to hang out and look around. I am obsessed with Disney food and pack in as many ADRs as humanly possible!

Now that i've gone on about myself forever, here is our second and final cast member! Drumroll please....

My dad! Dear old dad. We have always been close and get along well. Most teenagers don't like spending time with their dads, I do. We have never done a trip to WDW with just us two before, so this is a first! Unfortunately, him and my Mom just flat out can not vacation together anymore. Sad but true. I'll miss her on this trip! Anyway, my dad is not quite the obsessed Disney fan that I am, but then again most people aren't. I'm sure a few of you here on the DIS are though! His favorite park is MGM and likes to spend lots of time there. He really enjoys The Great Movie Ride and It's A Small World. He lets me plan EVERYTHING, doesn't care what we do or where we go as long as we get a day at MGM, he'll be happy. He is on the older side, but tackles the parks and deals with me like a trooper!

:mickeyjum :mickeyjum :mickeyjum

I really wanted to come up with alter-egos for myself and Dad for this trip. It's not that we aren't awesome enough as ourselves, because believe me, we are (which you will hopefully come to realize by the end of this report!) - it's just that well, alter-egos are just plain fun.

I knew Dad would think I was silly, but he also thinks i'm *too old* to still want to go to Disney all the time & even though he says that, he takes me anyway. So I figured he'd be cooperative. He said I could pick the alter-egos, so I started thinking of awesome Father-Daughter duos out there. There's Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus, and they're Disney related! Awesome! But... I just can't get over the Billy Ray mullet of yesteryear, and it would be frightening to picture my dad with that type of haircut. Who else could we be? I brainstormed for like three seconds and then - it hit me.

WE ARE THE FABULOUS, ROCKIN, FATHER DAUGHTER DUO OF STEVEN AND LIV TYLER!!!!

Okay, so we're not exactly Steven and Liv Tyler. We're not rockstars or actress/models. YET. We ARE, however, a super-cool father daughter duo taking Disney on again! I like the idea of Steven and Liv Tyler for many reasons: 1. Aerosmith ROCKS on forever, 2. AEROSMITH. ROCKS., & 3. When we ride The Rock N Roller Coaster I can say things like "Dad, thank you so much for being so rockin, without you, this ride would not exist." while people look at me puzzled, which is a lot of fun, and so on. :)

That last reason sounds fun, but unfortunately, Dad will not be riding RNRR, you see.. when he was little he experienced a VERY fatal accident at Coney Island on the world famous Cyclone roller coaster. Basically, there was a pole above the track, someone stood up while the ride was in motion, and when the coaster got to the pole - well - you can do the grossly terrifying math from there. YIKES. :scared1: I'm sure everyone understands why he does NOT like rollercoasters!

:tink: :tink: :tink:

Let me end this by saying that I figured out what my Trip Report title will be! (you probably already know it from reading the title, but i'm over-excited so please deal with me here) I've decided on:

Steven and Liv Tyler's Rockin Adventures at WDW!

I quite like it! It is certainly one of a kind! I will be continuing this pre-report throughout January and February, we are leaving on the 25th! Stay tuned for more! If you did read any of this, it would be great if you could reply just so I know i'm not going on and on for no reason! :goodvibes

Next, in Steven & Liv Tyler's Rockin Adventures at WDW ~ The Pre-trip, I reveal things that you are on the EDGE OF YOUR SEAT, dying to find out! Answers to questions like: How many days are you going, Steven and Liv? Stevey and Livy, how many ADRs have you jam-packed into the trip this time? Steven and.. Livven, just how many times have you been to WDW? Where are you staying? What are you packing? Who are your favorite trip reporters? How obsessive have you been with planning? How many lists have you made? How many times have you been to WDW in the past?

You can rest easy, all these questions *AND MORE* will be answered soon enough!

Thanks for reading and have a magical day!! :wizard:

You crack me up! I will be arriving on the 25th too. I will be on the look out for your famous family!! Have a great time with your Dad. Take lots of pictures because when you become as old as me someday you will be really glad to have pictures of those memories with your Dad to show your own kids!! Have a great trip.

Thank you!!! You are our first fan - rock on. And don't you worry, I take an obscene amount of photos on a daily basis so when i'm at WDW, it's insane. There will be tons! :)

Hey Lia...welcome to Trip Reporting...I'm looking forward to reading a trippie through younger eyes!! You're off to a great start!! Keep us tuned in!!!

Ok, so I'm ready for more...where ya staying? What ADR's have you got???

Well, anyone who uses Steve and Liv as their alter-egos is on my list. HAHA. I used Doug/Carrie and Raymond/Debra... See what getting married and having kids does to you??? ;)

We leave in 24 days for our trip. Can't wait to see your pics and read your trip report. These things are the only thing that is keeping me from going insane during the last few weeks.

Great pre trippie so far!! You had me cracking me up :rotfl: I am looking forward to reading more! popcorn:: Oh yeah and I am excited to read a father-daughter trippie, that is very unusual to find on the DIS! Keep it coming!!!!:thumbsup2

Thank you for all the great comments!! I appreciate it, it keeps me motivated..plus i'm going out of my mind waiting for this trip to come! I am in the process of working on an update about where we are staying, so stay tuned!

Also, I'm watching the People's Choice Awards and my dad's band was not nominated! What is going on people? VOTE FOR AEROSMITH NEXT YEAR!

Oh, I wish I was going to WDW the same time as you...I've never met a celebrity it WDW before!

Studios is my favorite park and my dad's favorite park so I'm looking forward to hearing about your day there (and the other parks, too). It sounds great so far!

Can't wait to hear more about your trip together! :thumbsup2 We'll be at WDW 1/17 - 1/27, so it sounds like our trips overlap a bit. :)

Im LOVING your pre trippie! I am 18 and it will be interesting to see something written in the eyes of someone close to my age. (I'm also writing a pretrippie for my first ever trip -- you should read it! :goodvibes ) We are going to be leaving 2 days before you :sad2: too bad! But still fun .. cant wait to read more! :woohoo:

I finally have time to reply to everyone individually who I didn't address already.. which I really want to do because I appreciate all the support and cheering on! :cheer2:

Lauralee131: Thank you!! You may want to know where we have our ADRs set for NOW, but once I start listing you'll be stuck online for hours so be careful what you wish for. ;)

Catkramer: Thanks and Hey, your alter-egos aren't bad either! At least you can make people laugh!

Cinderella16: Thanks, i'm glad I can make you laugh! And yeah, you don't see many father/daughter trips! Hopefully this will be interesting. :)

resol37: Isn't the Studios just wonderful? I find it to be a bit underrated.. I hate when people just run to ToT and RnRC and Fantasmic and don't really notice the AMAZING theming of this park!

arizonacolbys: Thanks :) Actually, I think you misunderstood - our trip is in February just to clear that up!

Blaynexox: Thank you so much! It's good to have someone my age reading.. I am excited to read yours too which I will definitely be doing soon. :)

ACK ACK ACK ACK

Just got a call from my dad. He has to have important dental work done (Rockstars have to have perfect teeth, you guys!), and the only time they can see him for a consultation is MARCH 5. TOO BAD WE'RE GOING TO BE AT DISNEY ON THAT DAY!!!! Except that...we're not. Because it's VERY important, and he has to go on this day. ACK ACK ACK ACK. This is where my immaturity comes out and I scream "STUPID DENTISTS!" and stomp my feet. :sad2:

So we have to change ALL OUR PLANS. We can't leave earlier because dad didn't plan for that at work, so we have to move our trip up to March 6 - 16.

So....I have to wait LONGER to go to Disney???????? :scared1:

*convulses and falls to the ground, assuming the fetal position*

....
......
...

But wait!

*Lightbulb appears over my head*

...

This means I have to RE-PLAN EVERYTHING? AHHH!!

To some, that might be daunting and upsetting. To me, it's not really bad! It'll give me something to do while I wait for the trip to come up, and I love planning! Plus, we can still use most of the plans that I've made if I switch up some of the EMH nights and that sort of thing! Thank God we book our airfare late and haven't done it yet, changing your airplane reservations can be expensive sometimes! I also didn't book our tours yet, so I won't have to cancel those. Also, March 6-16 is still within the time that we get AP discounts on our resort, YAY! :woohoo:

So I guess that answered some of your un-answered questions and clued you in a bit on what we're doing! You can see we're staying on-property, going for 10 days, and doing some tours!

Dad has to check some things at work (Meaning, he has to call Joe Perry and discuss things) and make sure that we CAN go March 6-16, and then I'm just gonna pray that our resort has room for us on these days!

I guess this will make the report more interesting, you can plan along with me!

Sincerely,
Liv Tyler :hippie:

aww thats a bummer that you have to move your trip! But you know what? It will probably end up being even better then before! Not only do you have longer to plan it, but it will probably be even less crowded during those times then in February! (dont quote me on that because I may be REALLY wrong ;) ) Anyways, I look forward to hearing about the changes in your plans!

Sorry you have to re-schedule, but like you said - that means you get to re-plan everything!! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

We went at the beginning of March for a very short trip back in 2003 & it was great - the crowds weren't bad & the weather was warmer than Jan/Feb. It should be a great time to go!! :goodvibes Keep us posted on your new plans as they come about. :)

blaynexox, thanks! I think it will be even better, having to wait longer makes getting there all that sweeter!

arizonacolbys, Thanks for the info on going in March. I've been wondering what it's like there around that time, since i've only gone in April and August before. Thanks!

I love to book ADRs because I have this problem with food.

In that I eat too much of it.

This is me: popcorn:: .. basically all the time. At Disney World. I'm surprised I have time to see attractions, to be honest with you.

Well, I guess i'm not THAT bad considering i'm not overweight or even worse -unhealthy. But if I lived in Orlando, I would probably be morbidly obese, and not even care that I was. Because I love Disney food THAT much.

I usually gain around 6-8 pounds during vacation. I don't work out for 10 days and eat everything (Meaning... everything) and so 8 pounds piles on! Two words: WORTH IT!!! It is! Truly. Plus, usually when I get home and STOP eating everything in sight, I lose the weight. I think.

Our last trip (April 2006) was my very first time making ADRs months ahead of time. I found it really fun because I knew exactly what I was booking... I do a lot of research (research meaning: Study the Food Pictures thread on the Restaurants board), and I get really excited! :woohoo: I'm a bit of a food snob sometimes, ESPECIALLY with Italian food, and I have to tell you - I didn't have a bad meal the whole trip.

I found that eating a big breakfast in the morning before hitting the parks is not my favorite. This is because i'm DYING to get the day started, and i'm eating a heavy meal and it can weigh me down sometimes instead of giving me energy. I think it's better to eat something small at the Pop Food Quart before leaving. I also found that mostly every breakfast at Disney tastes exactly the same and has the same stuff (there are some exceptions: like Tonga Toast!), so when booking breakfasts, I go more for ambiance and location than food.

So, HERE WE GO! Here's where we plan to eat:

1900 Park Fare (Dinner) ~ We ate here last time on our last night of the trip. We meaning, my mom and I. I'm excited for my dad to experience it. He always gets a kick out of the characters and I know he'll love the Grand Floridian. Plus, I DREAM about their tortellini. For dessert, we'll have the Mini Wedding Cake. It's the best cake I have ever had in my lifetime. I couldn't believe how good it was.

Le Cellier (Dinner) ~ I had this booked on the last trip, but you know how things get crazy and plans don't always go the way you had hoped. I have heard SUCH amazing things about this place, and seen so many pictures, i'm excited! I already know what i'm going to order. Oh, the DIS, what would I do without you?

Garden Grove Cafe (Breakfast) ~ This probably seems like an odd choice. It's not a popular breakfast place. It's at the Swan, and I LOVE the whole Swan/Dolphin/Boardwalk/Beach/Yacht Club area so I really want to show my dad. Plus, they have an all you can eat breakfast for a lot cheaper than most other places.

Kona Cafe (Breakfast) ~ My dad is a cinnamon FREAK. He loves it. I'm always picking up cinnamon everything for him. He just loves it. He also loves bananas. I can't NOT expose him to Tonga Toast. He will not be complete until he tries it. Plus - I NEED some Kona coffee!

Spoodles (Dinner) ~ I originally never planned to go here, it wasn't really a must-see. But then I saw pictures on the Food Pics thread and yeah - my mind was changed. Plus, like I said, the Boardwalk area... SLAYS me. I LOVE it.

Boma (Breakfast) ~ I NEED FRUNCH JUICE. I NEED IT. Some people need water to live, I need Frunch Juice. At least once a year. To survive. My doctor told me this.

California Grill (Dinner) ~ Remember those dreams I have about the tortellini? They are nightmares compared to the dreams I have about California Grill. I just adore it. I ADORE IT. The food is just incredible, the ambiance of the open kitchen on one side and the Magic Kingdom on the other... and watching Wishes on the observation deck. I'm getting so excited just thinking about it! Ahh! (Attention: I do not actually have dreams about food. Most... of the time.)

50's Prime Time Cafe (Dinner) ~ We ate here years ago, before I even knew about making ADRs. My mom loves it here, so i'll miss her when we go. My dad really liked it, he got a kick out of the waitress that we had. Plus, i need to try their Smores. Really, really badly.

Beaches & Cream (Lunch) ~ They, and Sci-Fi, have the BEST ONION RINGS IN ALL OF LIFE. Truly. Plus, you gotta love this place. It feels like an old time ice cream shop by the beach... right by that amazing pool (more like water park) at the Beach Club, which is just so beautiful.. I love it.

Ghiradelli (Dessert) ~ Excited to try this. I hear people melt because the stuff is so good. I'm willing to take the chance of melting to have an amazing dessert, as long as I can still drink Frunch Juice in the morning, I'll be fine.

Sci Fi (Dinner) ~ Before I say anything, I will tell you. SCI FI HAS THE BEST MILKSHAKES ON THE FACE OF THIS EARTH. They put other malts to shame. And believe me, I know my milkshakes. Some people don't like this place. I don't get it. I think it's amazingly cool and I LOVE the food. Seriously, what an inventive, great idea for a restaurant. Only Disney could do it, I swear. Also, the only spinach and artichoke dip I like is here. The first time I had it was at Sci-Fi, cause I heard here on the DIS that it was delicious and my Mom loves it. I've tried it at like 4 different restaurants since, and didn't like it, but I love it at Sci-Fi. Weird!

Ohana (Dinner) ~ I am SO excited for this. This is another one of our dinners that we missed. I think it looks like a blast and the food looks amazing.

Whispering Canyon Cafe (Breakfast) ~ My dad loves this place. He walked into the Wilderness Lodge and said "Call them and book our next trip here. Right now. How much is it? You know, I don't care. Lets go to the desk and book it. Right now." We never did end up doing that, I think the Disney in my dad was beaming through at that moment, but he wanted to look into it. I'm hoping after exposing him to every Deluxe resort that the Disney in him will always be there and then we can MOVE to the Wilderness Lodge. Or something. ;)

Chef Mickey's (Breakfast) ~ You are getting so many benefits from this report, the latest includes: LIVE planning. I JUST decided to add this into our plans when I was reading over this and realized that we have no fur character meals! THAT IS NOT GOOD, PEOPLE. I come to Disney, I dine with Mickey. Period. So much for not eating a lot of big breakfasts! Chef Mickey's was the place we had my birthday last time... so big, great memories there. GOTTA love it!

CS Places I have to stop at/want to try... include but are NOT limited to: Columbia Harbour House, Pinocchio's Village Haus, Casey's Corner, Starring Rolls Bakery, Tusker House. I feel like I am missing something. We'll see. I also like Pecos Bills. Ooh, and I want to try Aunt Polly's, i've never been there.

This chapter of STEVEN AND LIV TYLER'S ROCKIN ADVENTURES AT WALT DISNEY WORLD ~ THE PRE TRIP brought up some *interesting* questions. Such as: Will the Tylers eat so much they will have to be airlifted to a hospital? Will Lia/Liv hold people at gun point so that she can get more Frunch Juice? What resort will the Tylers eventually move to when Disney takes over Steven's brain?

ALL THIS.......... AND MORE!

STAY TUNED! :yay: :yay: :yay:

You are such a creative writer! I absolutely loved the whole ADR segment. "I come to Disney, I dine with Mickey. Period." :rotfl2: Isnt that the truth! You have so many places on your plan that I want to try eating at one day, I cant wait until you get back and share how your experience was at each of them. Keep up the great work, I'll be waiting for more! popcorn::

Are they still doing Frunch? We are going in just a few days on honeymoon and our first trip, and I read somewhere on here they no longer serve Frunch it's now something different called Jungle Juice. I was interested in the Frunch, but thought they had stopped serving it now.:bride: :groom:

Thanks everyone, for reading and cheering me on! :cheer2: :thumbsup2

First of all, congratulations on your marriage! :bride: And OH NO :headache: I hope they didn't get rid of the Frunch Juice!!! I'll try the Jungle Juice, of course, but it won't be the same. I can't imagine WHY they'd get rid of it, I thought it was so popular! Well, anyway, thanks for reading! :)
