Up early this morning, Yippee, checking into Disney today. We check out of the Comfort Inn and grab a quick breakfast at McDonalds one block up, this really is the World’s Biggest McDonald’s!! :teeth: WOW. Ok, breakfast out of the way, we go to the ASMov at about 9:30am to check in. I ask if they received my room request that I faxed and she says she doesn’t see anything but asks what we wanted so I told her I asked for a king bed and 1st floor. She tells us that all the rooms with a king bed are handicap accessible and everything in the room is lower to the ground. Steve tells her he doesn’t want to take the room away from someone who might need it and she says that when we call in the afternoon to see if the room is ready, we can ask if they have any still available and that would be fine. Great. She gives us our park tickets and a card with the # to call in the afternoon to see if the room is ready and off we go to Epcot for the last day of the Food & Wine Festival. We have our Diamond Parking pass ready when we get to the booth and the attendant says follow the green line, this puts us in the lot next to handicap, right in front of the Kennel Club. A short walk to the entrance, through security and Yippee we are finally here! :jumping1:

First things first, a visit to our Leave a Legacy tile and then we try to decide where we want to go for lunch. We head to Guest Relations to make a PS. As we get there, Brad, one of our favorite CM’s is working. Brad was our tour guide for the Undiscovered Future World Tour last year. He really made in impression on us with is knowledge and WDW spirit. He suggests Le Cellar in Canada, sounds good so we make a late lunch PS and head off. We swing by Mission Space and I suggest riding but Steve is a little apprehensive and there will be plenty of time to ride later in the week. So we start in Mexico and check out the first booth, nothing we really want and I notice that they no longer offer recipe cards like they did 2 years ago, bummer, we were looking forward to collecting them again. We head off to Norway and ride the Maelstrom, this is always a favorite. We hit a few booths along the way, see the new Wonders of China, very nice, and head past the American pavilion. We stopped and tried the sushi at the Japan booth, it was just ok, we continued to wander slowly through the countries and stopping to listen to Off Kilter, we made it to Canada for our PS.

We are on the Silver Plan so we tell our waiter and I ask if we get an appetizer and a salad (I always ask because is seems to differ from place to place) he says yes so Steve and I order both along with our entrée. We are both still going low carb so no bread and vegetables instead of potato. Even though is slow in the restaurant and they are in the middle of switching from lunch to dinner, our waiter seems to not be able to handle his tables. We decide we are on vacation so we will split a desert. We ask for the check and he says we will have to pay for the salads, I remind him that I asked him before we ordered and he said we could have both. He did apologize and say he would fix it, now he comes with the check and then runs our card to use the wishes, he forgets to add in his tip! So I point this out and he apologizes again and says that’s ok just forget it, he was really messed up at this point so we took our card and left before he got more confused. We call the # on the card and find out our room is ready so we head back to ASMov. They delivered our luggage so we decide to call the front desk like the woman who checked us in suggested and see if there are any King size beds available. The front desk finds one but it’s at AS Music, that’s fine with us so we take our luggage and head over to the front desk at Music. They get us all checked in to the Jazz building, it is on the third floor but that’s ok, as we are checking out the room we discover a refrigerator so we call and they say they don’t show us with a fridge but if it’s there, just keep it! Well now it’s off to ESPN to watch the Dallas Cowboys take on the NE. Patriots! We watched the whole game, Dallas got beat :( but we still love ‘em. Now back to the room and to bed.

Tomorrow: MGM and Fantasmic Dinner Pkg. at the Brown Derby

High Point: Getting our king bed and a refrigerator
Low Point: Waiter in Canada and Dallas losing the game!

Great trip report. Just one thing, your from Providence and your a Dallas fan. :crazy2: That's ok I'm really a Redskin fan. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of your reports.:firefight

YUP! Dallas fan tried & true, both of us! We haven't ever been Patriot Fans. Give Dallas another year or two with Parcells and they will be in the Super Bowl again for ring #6!
