Apple has confirmed that Steve Jobs, 56 has passed away.
Thoughts for his wife, children and the Apple family.

Very sad ..... As Lou mongello said on fb earlier... He was a dreamer and a doer that will continue to inspire RIP Steve

Quote from Barack Obama =

"The world has lost a visionary. And there may be no greater tribute to Steve's success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented."

How true, I read the news on my iPad this morning.

So very sad, RIP Steve.

“Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drowned your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

–- Steve Jobs

very sad news :sad2: as many have said it takes a lot to change the world, but he truly did. may he rest in peace

*Nods*

I found out on Twitter, for iPhone...

There's not many people you can honeslty say this about but the world is a little darker for losing him. He truely changed the world.

A friend posted this on FB:

“Three Apples that changed the world: the one Eve ate, the one that fell on Newton’s head & the one that Steve built. RIP Steve Jobs”

Nicely put I thought.

Aw that is nice!

We went in our local Apple store today there were flowers and people were leaving messages on post it notes on the window!

Same at our Apple store (Bristol, maybe that's the one you're talking about).

We left a note on our way out.

a big loss to lots of people - it's surprised me quite how widespread and "front page" this news has been across the internet today. He clearly had an affect far beyond the computing industry to music, film and many other areas.

Very nicely put.

So sad when he was still so young.

Rest In Peace, i guy. The world has lost one of it's most gifted visionaries. We are forever changed thanks to you.
