this is the sweetest picture.

I feel really sad for baby Bob. He'll never have the memories of his Dad like the ones Bindi has.

I agree but look how fortunate they are to have all the video footage that they do.

I don't know if we have any video of Dh & myself, it's all of the kids. They can see everyday how full of life and how much love he had for his family and animals.

Terri was on Leno last night.
The segment wasn't very long. Shen she started cryinig I thought Jay was going to too. Then she accidentally put her dirty tissue back in the box and started laughing.

Oh shoot - I missed it.

It was reallyshort I felt. Steve use to bring animals, but she didn't. She tlaked a min about being there for the visit Australia campaign. They tlaked about Steve and Terri's visits to Jay's show and how steve hated waiting in the greenroom. Jay went on about how steve was the same infront of and behind the camera. That if someone showed him an inkpen, be would be as excited as when he showed an animal on camera. It was a really sweet conversation.

Bindi seems so smart and sophisticated for her age, does anyone know if she really has like a genius level IQ or anything? Its almost un-canny.

Bindi's new show is supposed to play on Discovery Kids channel. I don't get that channel so I wondered if anyone knew of another way that I could watch her show perhaps somewhere on the internet. TIA

I watched Teri on Larry King last night. It came in part way through the interview. It was a really nice interview, kind of like just two old friends talking. During the last 5 or 10 minutes, they brought Bindi on. I was dissappointed in Larry's interviewing of her. He asked her something along the lines of how she copes or manages or something like that. I mean, come on, she's 8 years old. She probably doesn't even know what the question means. Yes, the kid misses her dad, yes she has days where she cries, but does he (as an interviewer AND a father himeself) feel that is an appropriate question for a child who's father has recently died?

I saw LK Live last night and Leno the night before. I thought both men did a nice job with it and I thought Terri seemed more relaxed on LK. Leno may have been her 1st televised interview in the states?? It was probably emotional just doing that. I think they were/are an amazing family. :)

I think Terri is very bright, level headed and will do fine in raising the kids and continuing Steve's work. When Terri talked about how fate brought them together, it brought tears to my eyes. She also talked about how sensitve Steve was regarding other people's pain and injury, especially when he lost his mom or his kids getting sick. I kept thinking what if it had been Terri instead of him that had died? I don't think he would have survived. Perhaps fate did bring them together as she will be strong enough to carry on his plans.

After seeing Bindi last night at the end of LK, it just reinforces how bright, poised and polite she is. When she talks, I can almost hear Steve talking. :goodvibes Steve and Terri have laid a wonderful foundation for her to build upon. :thumbsup2 It is truly sad that Baby Bob will not have the memories of his father that Bindi does.

I know I keep saying it on this thread, but I can't believe he is gone.:sad2:

pooh93- I never thought about it that way until you posted that steve would not have coped at all if it were terri who passed. He was so devastated when his mom died. could you imagine if something had happened to his soulmate??
i still can't believe he is gone either. I can barely watch his show on animal planet because i get really sad for so many reasons.:sad1:

I also watched the LK interview, I am amazed at how strong a woman Terri is. I could never be that strong if my husband passed, I think I would still be in bed 4 months later!

I also still cannot believe he is gone, and got tears in my eyes during parts of the interview. :sad1:

I guess Terri was also on the Ellen show yesterday, I missed it, but it will be on again on Oxygen channel.

Don't know if this was already posted, but I read that on Jan 21st, the show Steve was filming when he died will air.

REMINDER

"Ocean's Deadliest" comes on tonight followed by a new special "Crikey What an Adventure." They are BOTH on at the SAME time on Animal Planet and Discovery.

Yes, that is Ocean's Deadliest, but the bit with stingray will not be seen.

Jacques Coustou's grandson finished what Steve started.

(The article states it has been 9 months since Steve's Death but it is only coming up on 7 months in April)

'Croc Hunter' appears in daughter's TV show

NEW YORK (Reuters) -- Bindi Irwin, the eight-year-old daughter of late "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin, will launch her new television series in June with her father appearing in some episodes, Discovery Kids Channel says.

The exuberant, khaki-clad Australian naturalist and his daughter began filming the 26-part cable TV show, "Bindi: The Jungle Girl," in early 2006 with the aim of getting children more interested in wildlife conservation.

Irwin, however, died last September after a stingray's serrated barb pierced his heart while he was filming scenes for a documentary off Australia's northeast coast.

But after 44-year-old Irwin's death, his daughter and her U.S.-born mother, Terri, decided to finish filming Bindi's series.

Critics in Australia and elsewhere accused Terri Irwin and her advisors of trying to rush Bindi into show business, saying she is too young to cope, but the family brushed off the criticism with Bindi repeatedly saying she wants to continue her father's legacy.

"Those closest to her know that she deeply believed in her father's mission to protect wildlife," the cable network said in a statement announcing the June 9 premiere.

Discovery Kids Channel said Tuesday the new series features Bindi introducing viewers to the world of wildlife from her cozy treehouse high up in the rain forest, with both her parents dropping in to share stories of animal adventures.

The night before the series premiere, sister channel Animal Planet is presenting "My Daddy The Croc Hunter," in which Bindi, with her mother's help, hosts her first special and shares her personal look at growing up with her famous father.

She shows clips from her early childhood and footage from Irwin's last crocodile research adventure in August 2006, when Bindi helped him with some croc captures.

In the nine months since Irwin's death, Bindi has rarely been out of the public spotlight.

She spoke at her father's funeral and earlier this year toured the United States to kick off her American show business career, performing her "Bindi and the Crocmen" stage show. She was also named a tourism ambassador for Australia.

I saw that article a bit earlier. I think the confusion over the "9 months since his death" comes from the fact that it will be 9 months once her show debuts. That's the only think I could make of it. While I understand the purpose of it being on Discovery Kids, I am kind of surprised that it won't be on Animal Planet since it not only deals with animals, but also because Steve helped make Animal Planet become what it is today. We don't get Discovery Kids, so we won't be able to watch it. :( I'm looking forward to the special they'll be airing, though!

Terri Irwin hosted Larry King tonight and had Bindi on as a guest at the end of the show.
