I watched both interviews and I really didnt enjoy the BW one. I just felt like she was unattached with her questions. Just my opinion. I teach first grade and I can tell you everyone of my children knew the "Crocodile Hunter" some from TV others from the Wiggles movie. They talked about him for the whole week. It was very touching. I am curious Nutsy, I know that the family lived at the zoo but where? Did they have a house near the zoo or really at the zoo. I can't imagine that it would be a big , huge house. I just can't imaigine them to be like that. Any info? I am just curious.

Thank you for the link Nutsy....I have to say, after watching the 20/20 interview with Barbara...the Ray/Austrailian show is 100 times more poignant and SO much better. She actually to me, seemed more at ease in this interview. I've not watched it all yet, but what I've seen made me more heartbroken and wanting to cry than the US interview. That sealed it for me with Barbara Walters, never was much of a fan or her's, and even less so after this. I will finish watching the video later, it makes me too sad to watch it all at once.

They had said the family lived "in a bungolow on the zoo property". I am not sure what "bungolow" standards are in Austrailia, but based on the term here in the US, I would think it was on the small side.

think the question about her loving him too much, had been floating around for awhile. i dont agree with it, but some people had the view that by devoting her entire being to steve, ie moving here, working together, living in each others pocket, that it didnt give her her own seperate identity/life. so when the unthinkable happens, it would be 1000times harder to deal with it as you have never had a life without them


When you look at it like that.. the question is not so bad. But I do agree that Terri did seem taken aback by it.. but she defeneded herself very well and explained just how she felt.

Yeah, I guess I can see where he was going with that question as well. I also thought she defended herself well.

I also liked when she said that she "loved him just right."

I watched the Australia interview last night and cried my eyes out for her. She is so well-spoken and in so much pain. I really feel for her and her family.

I used to watch their shows regularly and I could swear that several/many years ago they showed a glimpse of their bungalow on one of the shows. It may have been when his dog was sick (or maybe another animal?) and they had it at home to take care of it.

I figured that it would be a modest sort of a home. I just was curious to see what it was like. I hope it is nice and private so the family can have some time alone to be at peace.

i saw the inside of the bedroom of their home on 'crocodile diaries' when the staff played a prank on steve..they put a snake in his bed. The bedroom was modest in size. the house had wood floors. the house was so close they walked over with the snake so it's very close by.

the national enquier on the front cover says that officials are planning a second autopsy on steve. there is a story that he suffered from a head injury before the accident. i don't know

The family own lots of property up there.. the house is near the zoo.. but down the road if that makes sense.. I've never seen it, so it's away from the public eye. There is more palatial home that you can see from the carpark, but it's brick. There is also a little shack that is quite close to the carpark, but I think that is for staff... as I've seen staff there having smoko sitting around on the verandah.

Steve Irwin's Wife - Parents Says Terri Will Never Wed Again


When Terri Irwin went on broadcast television this week to recount her life with her husband, 'The Crocodile Hunter' she stirred up emotions for all of his fans.

Parents Says Terri Will Never Wed Again

Terri was very gracious with her time as it must have been difficult to go on [ and give the details of the tragedy and the aftermath.

And now Terri's parents have given an interview as well - they speak with Star Magazine about the untimely death of their son-in-law.

Her mom Julie tells the magazine in the interview that Terri is a Christian and is looking to the Father for guidance. Her mom also reveals that the tragedy has been very tough on Terri.

"Her biggest concern is taking care of the children, Mom says. "Kids need playtime and want to have fun but Terri is distraught - she's overcome with sadness."

And on whether Terri will ever remarry both parents give their opinion:

--Mom says that "They were madly in love," and adds "their connection was beyond this earth.

--Her dad, Clarence replies, "I can't speak for her, but no, no, no! Steve was one of a kind!"

Many will agree with that statement and after her brave interviews; many believe Terri is one of a kinds as well.

Oh yes!!! That is the show I was trying to remember! I thought it was when his dog was sick but I believe you are right about the snake. Thanks for refreshing my memory.

How can they get away with publishing this? If there were any truth to it, I would imagine it would be in the news here in Australia and in the papers and we've not heard a word of it.

Personally I think that is sick. Plus to "dig him up" as they so nicely put it.. who's to say he's not been cremated? Terri won't reveal any details regarding that.
