Steve Irwin (crocodile hunter) dies..........

 :scared1: :sad1:  :worried:

Sources say that CNN is reporting it now.

I can't get through to any of his websites, too much traffic!

Oh my gosh.. I feel sad for his children and wife.
CNN.com just posted his death as late breaking news with details to follow.

My son and I have always loved watching his show together. :sad1: My heart goes out to his wife and little children.

My mom just heard about it on the radio, and they were making JOKES about it, so we thought it was a hoax... until I pulled up CNN and there it was.

WHY STEVE? I love him! I'm heartbroken!

I'm in shock. What a terrific guy he was

What a terrible shame. His wife might not even know right now. At least he died doing what he loved, being at one with nature.

It has now been officially confirmed...it's so sad.. Terri his wife was at the opposite end of the country when this happened.

She knows and it's official... she has obviously flown to Cairns and identified his body. They would not confirm it was Steve until Terri had identified him it seems.

This is so sad. :sad2:

My DS & I watch his show every day on Animal Planet. Just today my DS asked DH & I "Can go to Australia Zoo & meet Steve someday?". DH & I told him that would be a "great idea & we will try & plan it as soon as we can."

My DS loves to pretend he is the Crocodile Hunter & "traps crocs".

This is just so sad.

His poor wife & children. :sad2:

That is such horrible news. My son has grown up watching him. I feel so sad for his wife, family, zoo and animals.

Awww, we liked him, too. It's a big loss for the animal world. Does anyone remember the episode of The Crocodile Hunter where his old dog was dying? He slept next to him on the floor all night, and in the morning, the dog was gone. That was a tearjerker. :sad2: Steve will be missed the world over.

Wouldn't it have been officially confirmed before they put it on all the news channels??

He sure seemed like a good man. It's so unsettling when someone so full of life encounters death. My prayers are with his family
