Magic Kingdom is at WDW. Disneyland is in California.I user on the WDWForum named "Jose" just mentioned that he got info from Steve Davison that he's working on a new electrical parade at the Magic Kingdom. It could possibly be at Walt Disney World.

Doesnt make it correct.I've heard Disneyland referred to as Magic Kingdom when I've been there.

I think it might be a different person, after seeing the announcement months ago.Did Davison do 'Paint the Night'? That has been a big success by all accounts.
WDW threw a big celebration for Walt's 100th Birthday in 2002 - 2003. So I wonder what will be in store for it's 50th?With the 50th anniversary just 6 years, I would imagine (hope?) there's a lot of new stuff headed our way at WDW.
I hope the new parade can have more floats. Last time I seen any Disney park do that was Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights in Tokyo Disneyland and Spectromagic.I do love MSEP, but a new show could be good, especially if it's a newer more modern version of MSEP. I hope it's different than Paint the Night. It seems to be cheating to port the same exact show from one park to the other.
Some members on the WDW Forum don't believe yet.I watched 'Paint the Night' on Thursday with my WDW CM friend who was out in Hollywood for an event. We were both amazed at the technology as well as the variety of characters and the diversity of the performers. We also heard that a new parade is in the works for MK - info was presented as a fact rather than a rumor.
I'll be there next month, I'll watch out for it. I know I've seen it, I was surprised they referred to it as Magic Kingdom.Doesnt make it correct.
Davison led the creative team for 'Paint the Night' in Hong Kong and Disneyland.I think it might be a different person, after seeing the announcement months ago.
'Paint the Night' definitely excels in awesomeness! We watched from Town Square - the beginning of the 2nd parade of the night - and from step-off it was apparent the parade was beyond magical!!I'd love to see something top the awesome factor of Festival of Fantasy!
All the new parade needs is more floats and won't feel short similar to Spectromagic but something new.'Paint the Night' definitely excels in awesomeness! We watched from Town Square - the beginning of the 2nd parade of the night - and from step-off it was apparent the parade was beyond magical!!
For CM friend, who is also a parade (FoF, MSEP) performer, it was a highlight and was described as being well beyond the awesome level of FoF.
"Magic Kingdom" has long been an informal nickname for Disneyland. As I recall, the name was used in the recordings on the DL Railroad, when it was referred to (uniquely) as "Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom".Doesnt make it correct.
