As much as I love me some Jim, Michael Scott IS the Office . I doubt I'd watch if he left .

I don't think you can have The Office without Steve Carell. You would lose about 90% of the humor in the show. I think if he were to leave, the show would have to end. It would be nice closure I think.

I mean, I absolutely love everyone on that show, but without Steve Carell....

I figured, I knew his contract was going to be up and all.
I love the office, truly, but I think it's time for it to bow out gracefully.
Especially with Steve leaving it would be better for them to cancel on a high note.

i hope its not true! Steve Carell is one of the funniest guys on the office! Whenever you think of an episode you usually reamber what he did (or at least I do)

Yeah, I read that today too. NBC did say that they had something planned in case he did decide to leave, but it won't be the same. Still, 7 seasons is pretty respectable.

I agree with the ppl who are saying that by having Steve leaving as the end of the show would be a good way to end the show. Like say someone like Jim is taking his place and have the last episode be like Michael Scott good-bye party you know?

The Office is my favorite show and I'd hate for Steve Carell to leave. I love the awkwardness of Michael but I do think the show could carry on without him. The other characters are so strong and the writing is so good I think its continuation is possible. Also, Steve Carell may just be a really good negotiator and this is a ploy for a fat new contract.
