If I have certain restaurants I want to eat at while at DW, what do you do to make a reservation? I know this is a stupid question, but wasn't sure of the process. We are not on the dining plan, but have a few places we'd like to try. Thanks.

Call 407 939 3463. Just tell them you want to make some dining reservations, or ADRs. Be ready with the times you'd like, dates and locations. Do the most popular restaurants first. Have pencil and paper ready to write down the reservation numbers. If you are going to someplace like California Grill they will ask for a credit card number but they don't charge anything unless you dont cancel within 24 hours (of the ressie). Be ready to listen to a long spiel about needing tickets for the parks if youre eating in park, dress codes etc etc.

If you are trying for CRT have the system down for 180 days out from your trip so you can call the minute they lines open ( I dont know much about that). Other favorite places during busy times of the year will book right away, at least for 'normal' eating hours, so be ready if you can to call as soon as your 180 day window opens. Note: last I heard the dining system was not taking reservations getting ready for the system upgrade and online system. I think it will be open again on Nov 22---there are probably others and other threads that can address that more specifically. I hope this helps.

Just call 407 WDW-DINE and follow the directions, you will be lead to someone who will help you.:drinking1 popcorn::

Call 1-407-WDW-DINE. The CM will ask the date, restaurant, and approximate time you want to eat, along with your name, party size, and phone number. It's really easy!

Call ASAP. It is amazing how fast reservations fill up. Most of us here book 180 days out.

Without the dining plan, they will charge for signature meals immediately.

I believe that they only do this for shows and experiences like CRT - where it's a fixed price.

I've never heard of it for the regular signatures like Jiko, California Grill, Flying Fish, Artists Point, etc.

When we went to Jiko in March we definitely were not charged ahead of time.

You're right. :goodvibes

The only signature meal that requires a cc is California Grill. That is only a cc guarantee, there will be no charge. Princess Storybook dining also has this rule snd so do the Fantasmic & Candelight Packages. CRT and the dinner shows are prepaid events unless you are on a dining plan and then they become cc guarantees. HTH. :thumbsup2
