With our April trip to Universal quickly approaching, my mind has wandered outside Orlando and to Bush Gardens in Tampa. We had thought about going to Sea World but now thinking of Bush Gardens instead.
We are all big roller coaster fans and have never been to BG. I was hoping I could get some thoughts from some of you.
Who has been there? Would you recommend us going...its it worth the ride, $$ etc.

Any help would be great!!!

My kids are huge roller coaster fans and love BG for this reason. We'll be down in August for two weeks and have planned at least 2 days at BG. If you like coasters I don't think you'll be disappointed.

would one day be plenty of time for this park...we really only have one day to commit to it. What are the lines like? I was just looking at the video for sheikra and OH MY GOSH I want to go on that!!! :cool1: :cool1:

you can make it a one day trip, but you'll be walking a lot. BG is pretty spread out.

I think we would be more concerned with the coasters and then what ever else we had time for.....I wouldn't think we could really see everything in one day and really enjoy it all. Just will give us an excuse for another visit another time.

Busch Gardens is busy during April, but the park is very big and holds the crowds well. but you may be looking at standby times for the coasters around 45 minutes. Sheikra is going down after Memorial Day to be retrofitted with floorless trains.

weekdays are obviously a better choice than weekends. it's a very easy drive from Orlando, 90 minutes or so.

shoot me a PM with your questions, I'll give you an overview of the park and how to hit the coasters.

Thanks for your help Amity 3, I did send out a PM to you.
If there is anyone else out there that are Bush Garden veterans and have any ideas or suggestions...I would love to hear them!!

My parents live in Palm Harbor (Tampa) for the winters and we go visit quite often. One of our days is always spent at BG! It is an awesome theme park!

:thumbsup2

DH & I went to Busch Gardens for the first time last September. We had a great time. It was only about a 60 minute drive from our hotel in Downtown Disney. We couldn't believe how fast we got to Tampa. We avoided the morning rush hour and left the hotel around 10:00 in the morning.

Busch Gardens has lots of wild roller coasters so you will definitely get your coaster fix. They also have animal shows, safari, etc... We enjoyed our day at Busch Gardens. 1 day was plenty of time for us. I think you will really enjoy yourself. It's a great theme park :thumbsup2 !
