Steph's journal (Posters Welcome)

Well today is my interview. I also have class tonight so I might not be able to post the details until tomorrow. I'm going to try and get in some exercise before I have to get ready for the interview.

Breakfast - popcorn 2pts
Lunch - pasta w/tomato sauce 10pts
Snack - half candy bar 2.5pts
Dinner - chicken soup 4pts, bagel w/cream cheese 6pts?
Snack - 2 soft pretzel 6pts, hard candy .5

Total - 31, 1 ap used, 4flex used
Exercise - 30 min walk outside

That late night snack monster got me again.

Steph, I just want you to know I think you are doing a great job! Even with all the extra baggage thrown your way this month, you just kept walking the walk. You are such an inspiration to me. I look at where you were and how far you've come and I just think, WOW! If she can be that committed, so can I. So thank you for that!::yes::

you're doing a really great job sticking to your points, even with the new schedule and being home with dan all the time. and of course, great job continuing to get in that exercise! this beautiful weather is a great excuse to get outside and walk! it's wonderful :sunny:

You're really doing a great job incorporating healthy eating and exercise into your daily life, even though your daily life has been anything but routine lately! Good for you!
 

Thanks for your good vibes and pixie dust Sharon, Marcia and Doreen. I'm glad I can be an inspiration to you Sharon. All of your kind words about my progress really meant a lot to me today.

I think the interview went well. I really clicked with the interviewer and she said that personality was a large part of the hiring decision. It would be perfect for me right now too. It is only guaranteed work until May with the possibility of the summer and more. Plus I would be doing exactly what I want to do when I am in practice so this would be great work experience. I'll know one way or the other on Wednesday since they are trying to fill the position quickly. Whoever they hire would start next week. I'll keep you posted. Either way will be fine with me - if I get it that is great but if not, I wasn't really planning on getting a job right now so no big deal.

Thanks again ladies - hearing someone else say I'm doing a good job really brightened my day. TOM came 2 days early so I wasn't in such a great mood today but reading my journal really made me feel much better.

I know what you mean, Steph. Sometimes you get kind of down on yourself, but then you come to your journal and there all sorts of support and kindness, and it just really makes your day.:sunny: I really meant what I said yesterday, you are doing an AWESOME job!

ooh, the interview sounds like it went great, i'm so happy for you!! i love your attitude about it though, glad you won't be too upset if you don't get it, but i'm sure you will, then it can really be party time :bounce:

and i'm so glad that coming to your journal and reading our responses helped to brighten your day :sunny: . i absolutely love going to my journal and reading the kind words everyone always has (including you!), it really helps me to stay on track, and it always puts a big smile on my face :teeth:

Thanks again everyone for all your support. While my outlook is better today I'm physically feeling yucky. Have I told you how much I hate cramps. I also have several blisters on my feet from wearing dress shoes yesterday so I might not get in a walk today. I know, perfect excuse to do pilates.

Breakfast - yogurt 2pts, banana 2pts
Lunch - pasta w/sauce 4pts, deli ham 1pt
Snack - hard candy 1pt
Dinner - soup 4pts, deli ham and cheese 6pts
Snack - pretzels and pb 5pts, ice cream sandwich 2pts

Total - 27pts, 1 AP used
Exercise - 20min walk
 
aw man, steph, i'm sorry you've got nasty cramps. that just plain stinks. and blisters too, no fun. that's why i hate wearing dress shoes! they're just not as comfy as a nice pair of sneakers :). pilates sounds like a good solution though ::yes::

I just restarted my Pilates, mainly because of a blister! :teeth: It really works my lower abs which is where I need the work! :rolleyes: I see you walked in spite of your blister! Those dress shoes can be tough! The only comfortable dress shoes I have are Hush Puppies pumps! They were worth every dime! ::yes::

I'm crossing my fingers for you to hear good news about your job possibility today!! :sunny: It sounds so perfect for your career goals and you seem so positive about the interview.

Well I was hoping to have a message waiting for me after a 7 hr shift at the mall but nothing. I'm hoping I'll hear something about the job tomorrow morning. Even if I didn't get it I would just like to know, especially since they said they were making a quick decision. Oh well, what's another day to wait.

Hey Steph, 7 hours on your feet is nothing to sneeze at! I don't blame you if you skip the exercise for today!

Thanks Sharon, Doreen, Marcia, Judy and Erin for all the well wishes on the job interview. I'm still waiting - I'll probably give them a call today or tomorrow morning and see what's up. I won't have time to stop by journals much today but tomorrow I should be able to catch up.

Okay, I finally came up with some goals for March
1) Take my vitamins - I'm really bad at this one
2) Drink at leat 4 mugs of water
3) Exercise - walk 1 mile 3 times a week, pilates once a week, weights twice a week
4) Stay within points of course

So far I have been good with all of them except for doing pilates but I still have 3 days to get that in.

Breakfast - banana 2pts

Okay I definitely didn't stick with my points goal today and I didn't exercise. I kinda just kept grazing but I don't think I ate over my remaining flex points so I didn't ruin it for the week.
 
arrgghhh - the waiting is the WORST, huh? If they don't MEAN they're gonna call, why do they say that? Almost like dating, huh??:crazy: Oh well, it will be whatever it is meant to be!

Nice goals for the month Steph!::yes:: You keep your eye on the weight loss, but still found ways to improve your health, i.e. daily vitamins. Good job!
Keep up the good work with the exercise! Hope your day was a good one!!
