Ok people, have you read this book?? I just finished it and well..........I don't get the end!:sad2: Can someone give me their thoughts on this book?? I got it all until the very end.....the last paragraph. The dates?
Can anyone help me??

I read the book a while ago and Loved it. However, I can't remember the end... If you want to write it in here (with a spoiler warning) or pm me, I'll give you my thoughts on it! :-)

I sent you a pm.

I replied to your PM but I'll reply here too!!

MAY BE A SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK!!

I loved the book, and now I remember that I was sooo dissapointed with the ending. I think that the pulse must have still been out there and got him. But that's just how I interpreted it!!

Have you read any of his other books?? I think I've probably read every single one!

He left it up to the reader, I interpreted it as that it worked. Really was kind of :confused3 but you get over it eventually and can make it end how you like.

Stephen King always ends his books with dates. I believe those are the start and end dates of writing the book.

As for the ending, he either left it up to us to create our own ending, or he left it open for a sequel.

Have you read the "Dark Tower" books? What I love is that almost every book of his there are elements of the Dark Tower.

I loved this book too. Best one he's written in years.

Yes the ending would be a disappointment if you were expecting him to tell you what happened after the reboot. Rather he gave the reader the option to think of ways it could have turned out.

Strange to see this here this morning because I read "The Cell" just this week-end after finishing "The Stand" for the 20th time (...yeah...LITERALLY 20th time...it's my favorite book) and wanted something else to ease my withdrawls, lol.

The Cell SUCKS! What a waste of time and paper. It seems I either really love his books or really hate them, hard for me to do any in-between with him.

Anyway, IMO.
:confused3

I got caught up with this book and really enjoyed it -- until the end. The end was a huge disappointment -- sort of like King couldn't decide how to end it, so he left it open for interpretation. Very unsatisfying to me.

I loved it right until the very end.

If I wanted to imagine my own ending, I'd write my own dang book. :sad2:

I agree the end was a disappointment to me too.

I thought maybe there would be a sequel because it was so open ended. I need closure when I read a book. :confused3

Mr. King hasn't written an outstanding book since The Green Mile. I've enjoyed most of his work before that, with a few of them, such as The Stand and The Shining, becoming classics, at least in my eye. I keep hoping for one that matches his older work, but he keeps disappointing. Just mho, of course.

I agree, I read about 10 pages of "Lisey's Story" and never even picked it back up!:sad2: Anyone want it?
