Hi...I'm sure this information is here somewhere, but I have been unable to find it! I am looking to rent points for the first time and I need to fully understand the process. Is there a link somewhere that will help me out?

I believe the top of the Rent/Trade Board has a "sticky" with FAQ. You could start there and then ask more specific questions later, if needed. It's really pretty easy, just start a thread of your own with the dates you are looking for, or browse the threads from people offering points for rent and see if any of them can help you.

Just be aware up front that the price per point should be all inclusive as there's no room tax, DVC villas do not have daily housekeeping, and the member must call on your behalf if you want to add Magical Express tranfers or the Dining Plan (which you pay for at check-in).

How do I know (or how can I find out) how many points I need. At this point my dates are tenative for 10/27-11/3 so 7 nights in a studio (there is just two of us). Is there somewhere that I can see how many points that will be-does it depend on the resort.

At the top of this page you will see a link to the "DVC Point Charts"...just click on it. Once you decide which resort you want, the same page has a "Points Calculator" you can use to see how many total points you would need.

Also wanted to add that the studios at OKW have two queen beds, all the other DVC resorts have a queen bed with a sleeper sofa...since there's only two of you, you might prefer that configuration.
