step by step for a waitlist

Im going to attempt to do a one day waitlist on my own so could some one please look over what I think I need to do and let me know if Im right

right now we are rescheduled for 4-3 through 4-10 at SSR

I would now book march 30 and 31 and april 1 in hopes of getting 4-2 through the waitlist so it would like I have march 30 and 31 also april 1 (these are the days that are open now and I would book them now ) and then april 3 through 10

if the waitlist doesnt come through would I be able to cancel those 3 days and those points would go back into my bank I hope this is right and if it does come through then I need to cancel april 7 through 10 again is this the right way of doing things

If I understand the OP correctly they have 4/3-4/10 currently booked but would prefer 3/30-4/6 but currently 4/2 is unavailable.
If I am understanding correctly OP then yes what you did is correct HOWEVER in order to not have any points go into holding you must cancel 31 days out from 3/30 if your wait list doesn't come through you then. Your waitlist will be set to deactivate 31 days out from 4/2 (not 3/30) which would put you in holding territory for the the points used to booked the nights of 3/30, 3/31, and 4/1 if you waited until then to cancel those extra nights.
