We just bought a Simmons beayty rest black, delivered last week. We were told that no mattress today is flipped. You can't flip them as there is nothing on the other side. Many say don't eve rotate. So far loving our new mattress. Looked at sterns and foster but found beauty rest more comfortable
Which beauty rest black did you go with? We tried a few in the stores. The pillowtop was one I liked best but we were worried it would sleep too hot.

We went the firm. I don't think the other is actually pillow top, they called it plush. I like that better but DH like the firm better. It took a couple of nights to get used to it as we came from a foam. But love it and the foam sleeps very hot and DH thought the plush would be hot too.
We got a pillowtop 10 years ago. We hate it. I will never buy another S&F. It was wonderful for the first year or 2 or maybe 3. I don't remember. We loved it. Then, it developed 2 troughs were we lie. I mean deep holes. We turned it regularly. We are not overly large people. It just sank. Dh and I both think it is the most uncomfortable bed now. We can't wait to get another one. (btw - I realize that 10 years is the upper limit in mattress lifetime, but this went bad years ago.)
We had a S&F. We rotated it regularly, but within the first year or so it developed what can only be called foxholes on both sides. When the bed was made up, you could see the huge troughs. We put up with it for another 3 to 4 years because we had spent so much money on it. When my back and hip pain reached the ridiculous point, we bought a Tempurpedic. We have had it over a year and it is the most comfortable bed in the history of beds.
