We took our first cruise at the beginning of this month. We got a verandah room since DD 18 months goes to bed early. It was quite nice sitting out there having a drink/snack playing cards and talking. One night we were out fairly late, around 11 and heard some muffled noises. It seemed that the couple in the room next to us was REALLY enjoying their verandah. We suppressed our laughter and went inside once we realized what was going on. It seemed like they were trying to be quiet at least. haha Has anyone else had this happen to them? Are there cameras on the sides of the ship such that crew would be able to see this!!??

oh my!

I am certain that there ARE cameras right out there, and some are pointed right near certain balconies. The first room we were assigned to had this fact noted in all the cabin reviews, just in case you were the type who liked to enjoy your balcony in "lighter attire." lol.

There are cameras all over the ships. I would certainly not select a verandah as a location for a romantic get together!

It's not like your going to show up on youtube or anything... The crew may just smile when the see you.
I just would avoid doing this when at port... :rotfl:

Just to set the record straight... We've never had a balcony.

This is what's called joining the "Balcony Club", kind of like the "Mile-High Club" for cruise ships. If you stroll on over to Cruise Critic you will find many discussions on this. :lovestruc Plan to renew my membership in December on Freedom of the Seas.

Hey, sounds good. We became members on the Magic and also plan to renew on the Freedom in February. :cool1: The Enchantment is also on the resume. :lmao:

I'm so glad my husband doesn't know about this board, I don't want him getting any ideas! But thanks for the info :lmao:

I read this thread to my DH and he wants to know where to go to join this club!! :dance3: I told him that we filled out the application when we booked (we have a balcony room) and that there WILL be a test during the cruise!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

DW and I have been practicing for months on how to be quiet on the Magic in May when ous DS and famly are in the next cabin.

Wow, this would not have crossed my mind. We only had a balcony once on a RC cruise and didn't even have our kids with us! I guess we blew it.

Now dh wants a balcony. and a good view. :sad2:

Dang! We only have a room with a view - :rolleyes1

Maybe this will give dh incentive to rethink upgrading??? :rotfl:

 The DIS boards have gone rated XXX popcorn::

Ok people.....remember this is a family board and kids do read it so let's keep it clean. This topic has been discussed many times and is nothing new. There are cameras all around the ship so use your verandah at your own risk and please don't post any suggestive or lewd comments.

Thank you.
