steamer trunks?

I've stayed in a category 11 "sideways" room and it had one, but I think that the regular category 11's do not. I'm fairly certain the 10's do as well.

Sorry, but what are the steamer trunks for? I've been on a cruise before, but don't remember them. Thanks!

I know SPH 5X20 (a Cat 10) does NOT have a steamer.

When we were rebooking our last cruise, I asked the rebooking agent on the ship if they have a list, and she says they do. You should be able to verify with DCL when booking that there is one in the room you're looking at.

Hi Jeff! Are you going to do 1 of the specials in 2010?

By any chance, does someone know if there is a trunk in room 6142? It's an adjoining navigator verandah room. We had a cat guarantee and just found out which room we were assigned.

Hi Gydell.

My wife has already shown interest in it. Not sure if I want to. Northern Europe isn't the warmest place, but the ports would be cool.

Are you going?

BTW, how's your grandson?

When you look at a particular stateroom, look to see if the walls are flat or if there is a little bump-out on one wall. If there is a bump-out, it means that the stateroom has a steamer trunk. For example, look at room 2024 on deck 2 forward. It has a steamer trunk. Now look at room 2000 on deck 2 forward. It does not have a steamer trunk.

Windermere, it looks like 6142 does have a steamer trunk.

There is a steamer trunk in this picture. http://www.wdwinfo.com/Photos/DCL_Stateroom-cat-5-6/pages/DSC00007.htm. It's the blue cabinet on the right side.

The best thing about a cat 10 room is that they have a double steamer trunk like the cat 4s do. :)

Yes our steamer in our Cat 10 was huge!! Our lowest cat before this EB was a Cat 9 and I was a little nervous about a 10 not having enough room. Well we actually had more room!

We had the double steamer and a storage bench (stored 2 cases of water underneath)

The steamer held all of DH and DS's clothes for 15 days. I hung mine in the closet.

I also liked the double bed being on the far end of the room instead of first.

Would book a Cat 10 again, we really enjoyed it and I spent extra time at the Spa!

not always true. We were in 7576 on the EB Repo and we had a steamer trunk. On the map it shows straight walls.

I agree with this. I've stayed in 6515 and it doesn't have indentation either, yet it has the steamer trunk.
