Newbie here....is a steamer trunk extra storage space? Will the Dream have them in the rooms as well? Why do some staterooms have them and others do not?

Extra storage space, yes. Came in very handy on the PC crossing.

No one knows about the rooms on the Dream yet. I don't know if they show anything on the virtual tour other than the standard room layouts.

Why do some have them and others do not? Well, I think if anyone can answer that, they are an oracle!

Seriously, some rooms have more floor space open due to the layout of the sleeping/sitting area. One 11B I have been in on the Wonder did not have one, one 11B I was in on the Magic did. I am hoping the same room on the Wonder will have one, going from LA to Vancouver means more bulky clothing.

Thanks for asking; I was wondering the same thing as our Cat. 11 didn't have one to my knowledge (6067).

I'm guessing the reason some have them and others don't is that things like connecting doors, ductwork, etc. take up space in some cabins, but not in others. From the list, I see that our next cabin on the Wonder (6634) has a single steamer trunk, yet others have a double. I'd be curious to figure out why when I'm onboard.

I will update this post as more information is received.

6606 & 6608 both have steamer trunks

Oh, duh, just read another thread. We had one in our cabin on the Wonder. What cabin was it, hmm, I forget offhand, lol.
