Steam train tour - parking question

We will be doing the steam train tour in November. They informed us Disney Transportation would not be running. They told us if we were driving that we would have a place to park at the Contemporary and we would walk tot he park from there.

I will assume we will be allowed to park there all day. Is this so? Do they charge? We are staying at POFQ.

You do have to park at the Contemporary, that is what my dh was instructed to do. There is no charge, the guard will have your name on a list. We met them at the MK after the tour, and stayed at the park for a few hours then rented boats at the Contemporary, and our was just fine there.

Just an FYI, since about the beginning of the year, WDW has starting running busses from the resorts to MK and MK resorts for the early morning breakfasts at 6:30-6:45. They run every 20 minutes or so. If you don't want to drive, you could take one of those busses.
