Steam Train Tour (or any tour) questions

Thinking of signing DH up for the Steam Train Tour for a Father's Day gift. He's been talking about taking it for years but never has. My question is if he is the only one taking the tour, can we still ride to Contemporary with him at 7:30 and he can join the tour while we get in line for EMH? I'm trying to decide if that makes more sense or if DD11 and I should just sleep in that day, them meet him after the tour. The CM I spoke to from WDW Travel Co said he could leave the car at the Contemporary until we leave MK at any time. Is that accurate? If so, that'd be sooooo convenient.

Yes you will be able to go with him until he enters the park. If I were you, I would do EMH and have him join you after the tour.

As for parking at the Comtemporary, that's not really allowed . You're not supposed to park at a resort you aren't staying at then go to a park. If you want to drive, then I would just park at TTC. If not, I would just take the bus. There is an early morning bus that starts running at 6:30 (at least that's the time I've always heard).

DH, DS, and I did the train tour in 2006 or maybe 2007. We all enjoyed it. Have you thought about all of you doing the tour?

We have done this and other early tours at the Mk and yes you are allowed to park at the Contemporary. The guard will tell you where to park and then it's a quick walk to the main gate. You may want your confirmation number handy.

I've done this also for the train tour. The guard should have names of those taking the tour.
