We are having our Anniversary dinner at Steakhouse 55 on Friday night. What is the dress there? Thanks for the help?

I have always gone casual business with not feeling uncomfortable.

DH and I went there last year for our anniversary. We were dressed up for the occasion but there were others there who looked like they had just come from the park and didn't look out of place.

We saw a little of everything when we ate there last week. Our family was casually dressed as follows:

DH: nice shortsleeved shirt and jeans
Me: sundress that I'd worn to the parks
DS (21): plaid shorts and a t-shirt
DD: jeans and a flowery sleeveless top

You could dress up and not be out of place, but there's no pressure to.

We went for our 20th anniversary this June. I wore black shorts with a nice wine colored blouse. DH wore shorts and a polo type shirt. We saw people more dressed up than us and less dressed up. There were families with kids in there too. We came straight over from the parks because we didn't want to go all the way back to our hotel. First. I changed shirts in the bathroom there before our PS. My blouse was one that is supposed to look wrinkley so it was ok to carry around in the backpack all day. :rotfl:

How were the steaks? We are heading there in Sept. Any out-of-this-world appetizers/sides/deserts?

Very good steak. Like Ruth Chris and Mortons better(west coast), but it does melt in your mouth.

I've had the ribeye twice and both times it was great. My wife got the filet mignon and raved about it. For salad, we liked the Wedge (I love gorgonzola dressing) and the caesar is good too. For sides, we enjoyed the steamed asparagus with hollandaise and mashed potatoes. We were disappointed in the mac and cheese (not cheesy enough...is there a cheese theme here?). Finally for dessert, I got the flourless chocolate cake and it was really good, but my wife got the creme brulee and it was outstanding. It was a large portion size and came with cookies, berries, and a pulled sugar garnish. I snuck more than my fair share of her dessert. :rolleyes1

We had the filet mignon. Excellent! And for salad I had Spring Greens with Candied Pecans and Raspberry Vinaigrette. It was so good! I'm usually a ranch person and I loved it! It tasted like fresh raspberries and even had some whole ones on the salad too. Yum! For sides, we got the garlic mashed potatoes and the mushrooms to go on the steak.

we went in Oct. We were also business casual. The filet was wonderful, however I do have to say that I loved the green beans for the side. I could have ordered another!

We all had the price-fixed menu which was $35 for a Caesar Salad, New York Steak, it was DELICIOUS--melted in my mouth, medium-rare and thick) along with smashed potatoes and a berry-peach tart. We also ordered a side of green beans (enough for all four of us to share) Everything was very good.
