Steakhouse 55 Question

DH and I were thinking of finally trying SH55 for dinner. If we ordered only one steak and two sides and two desserts, can we just ask for an extra plate so we can share things, or will we be subject to a split plate fee? I know we wouldn't be able to finish all the food if we each ordered our own steak, so I thought this might be a good solution.

There will be split fee, but only $5 (I double checked that with a CM on the Disney Dining line). That's not bad at all, and definitely cheaper than getting your own entree. But are you sure you want to share? When I went, my husband got the rib eye and it was REALLY good! I had a scallop appetizer, LOVED IT, but it was 1 scallop, I did not want to share that haha.

Thanks for checking on this for me Kriss. No, I'm not sure I want to share, but I really do want dessert too, and I've never been able to put down a whole steak dinner and a whole dessert during one sitting.

Don't ask for an extra plate. Just put it on your side dish. No charge.

Maybe order an appetizer or salad and then just share both? You don't have to say you're sharing and incur the fee.
