I am looking for a great steakhouse and also a great seafood spot

I had Narcoossee's on my list for seafood but I keep reading mixed reviews on it.

We will have the dining plan so we need places that take it!

Thank you!

I can vouch for both Narcoossee's and Flying Fish. Both are good - or better than Long John Silver's and Red Lobster. :P

California Grill has great steak and sushi as well as some other seafood dishes. It's a 2 credit restaurant, though, so I'm not sure if that rules it out for you.

Thank you! Nope, all of the ones on my list for seafood/steak are 2 credits. Just trying to pick one that's worth it!

In that case, I'd go with California Grill. It's my favorite restaurant on property for the food alone, to the point that I went twice on my last trip. If you're up there during the Magic Kingdom fireworks, not only do they pipe the music in, but they also have an outdoor viewing area.

These are all two credits but Flying Fish (Boardwalk) is fantastic - beautiful restaurant, fantastic service and I've loved both the steak and fish dishes I've had here. The crudo at California Grill is the stuff dreams are made of and you really can't beat a fireworks view. I had an amazing grouper at Jiko (Animal Kingdom Lodge) a few weeks ago and also love their filet and short rib dishes. Also consistently stellar service including very unique South African wines if that's of interest. Easy to make an entire night out of dinner at Jiko with exploring the resort - shopping, exhibits in the lobby, animals on the savanna - including night vision goggles. Boathouse in Disney Springs is also terrific and if visiting during the day and the weather complies, sitting on the dock is lovely. For one credit, I think Ale & Compass (Yacht Club) would be worth checking out.

We've eaten at both Flying Fish and Narcossees and I liked Narcossees better. I've had the surf and turf there and the seafood pasta.

At Flying Fish I tried the "famous" potato wrapped fish and it was terrible. It was so dry and I guess because it was wrapped in the potato, it didn't come with any sides. My DH had steak at Flying Fish and it was great.

Boathouse at WDW has good steak & seafood. On par with most signatures. Their lump crab, raw bar, oysters, clams and shrimp are excellent from what I’ve tried. As is the filet.

...
Thank you!
Which is more important?
Steak? Go to Yachtsman; great steak and more limited selection of great seafood.
Seafood? Go to Boathouse; my favorite fish joint and they have a good set of steaks as well.

I would honestly pass on Narcoosee's. I've given up on them by now. Nothing bad, nothing scandalous. Always just good, if that makes sense.

My partner and I also had the “famous” potato wrapped red snapper on 11/15/19. It was dry and dreadful. And they wanted $65 a pop for that crap! Easily our worst meal out of 8 nights of Disney dining. The service was outstanding and our appetizers and desserts were fabulous, I’ll give them that.
Shula’s was terrific as usual.

Wow can I go to all of them!?!?! 😆 Thank you, these are great suggestions

We were there on the 11/9, so just a few days before. Our server told me that the new chef had just brought it back onto the menu because of the demand. I wonder if the new chef "tweaked" the recipe because I couldn't imagine that it was so popular tasting like that.

I could have used a hammer 🔨 to break the “delicate” potato crust!

Well nowhere is the steak as good as Texas Roadhouse. But. Yachtsman is pretty good. I have found that if you can’t see the ocean. The seafood isn’t going to be the greatest. Orlando is fairly close Lol. so not too bad of choices. I think Boathouse is the best seafood frankly.
