Steak N Shake Prices?

I have read so many good things about Steak N Shake that I think we might try it out this trip. I found their website and viewed the menu, but it doesn't show the prices. Any idea where I can find a recent menu that shows the prices? Also, does anyone know what the cut off age is for the kid's menu or if they will let older kids (12-14) order from the kids menu?

I do not know of an online menu. Most combo prices are in the 7.00-9.00 range. They are pricey but often have coupons out which cut about 1/2 off the price. my 9 year old stopped eating from the kids menu a year ago as the kids meals did not have enough food for him.

We don't have Steak & Shake by us, but we went to one over the summer traveling. We got the special, it was a double burger, 2 sides (so yummy!) and a large shake for $7. So I say ask about specials for sure. We always stop whenever we travel and see one (even if we arn't really hungry we get kids meals at the drive thru, it's just so darn good!)

When I was a kid, Steak n Shake was a treat because there were so few of them, and the nearest one was an hour away. Now they are on like every interstate exit, and we even have 3 in our town. Kind of killed some of the nostalgia for me, but their cheese fries are still awesome

For my family of four, we always find ourselves in the 23 dollars with tip range. That's up about 5 bucks over the past few years.

Remember that S&S will give you a sturdy ToGo cup with any softdrink. These are big, nice plastic cups... a nice thing to have...

The S&S by me lets anyone order from the kids menu. I'm 21 and still get a kids meal if i'm not that hungry.

Personally I don't think Steak & Shake is worth any price. Their wafer burgers don't have enough meat on them to fill you up.

Thanks everyone! Our kids usually have Quarter Pounder meals at McD's, etc, but they only have pop to drink with them. If they have milkshakes with their meals I am guessing the kids combos will be enough for them.

Steak n shake has good prices and I LOVE their fries! If you are going to the one on Vineland Apopka Road though, beware! We have been several times and the last couple of times the service has been HORRIBLE!! And I'm not one who complains much. The wait staff were nice but the orders took FOREVER and both times recently we also ordered a meal to go to be ready when we left. We had to wait a really long time for that to be ready eventhough we reminded them halfway through the meal that we would need the to go meal soon.

We're a family of 4 and I think we spent $30 with tip. We went there thinking it would be one of our cheaper meals, but actually spent more there than we did at most counter service restaurants in WDW.
