Steak and Wine

Hello Everybody,
My BF and I are finally going to WDW in Dec. We grew up together and have shared many memories together as kids so I can't wait to go. We both LOVE to eat and are looking forward to alot of good meals while we are there. We love steak and were wondering where you guys think the best steaks and the best wines are. We greatly appreciate your input. Have a Disney Day!

First thought is Yachtsman's Steakhouse. Excellent beef and a pretty good wine list!

Columbia in Celebration has an extensive wine list. The food is Cuban influence and the steak there is marvelous. It makes for a nice change of pace from the theme park atmosphere.

I second the suggestion of the Yachtsman Steakhouse. I have also heard good things about Shula's (Swan or Dolphin-I can't remember which), but have not been there.

As for the wine list, IMO, the California Grill has the best. They have a wonderful selection of wine by the glass which gives you the opportunity to try new ones without having to buy a bottle. They have two wine lists On the regular one, they will open and serve any bottle by the glass. The more exclusive list (the really expensive bottles) is sold only by the bottle.

If you want to get away from Disney for a meal Charlies Steakhouse on I-Drive is one of the mationas best steakhouses everyyear......Its not too far from Disney and it is great.....Shula's is also very good.....

The best beef on property is at Shula's in the Dolphin. It's a bit pricey but wirth it. It's an a la carte menu.

Don't forget about the wonderful steak at the Flying Fish on the boardwalk...yummy.

Our favorite steak meals have been: 1. Citricos (GF), 2. Yachtsman Steakhouse and 3. Cinderella's Castle. All were outstanding!

But, my overall favorite is YS. I'll be there for my Bday dinner on Dec. 6th!!!!

I was so not impressed with the steak at the Flying Fish!

Yachtsman is a great steakhouse!

Also depending on what you're looking for......Ca Grill has a fillet mignon that is to die for! It's grilled with a bbq tamarind sauce that is out of this world! It is my must have every trip to WDW! They also have a great wine list. Check out their menu!!!

My favorite places for steak at WDW is Flying Fish, Yachtsmans Steakhouse, Brown Derby, Jiko and Concourse Steakhouse. I have consistently had wonderful steaks in all of them, espcecially the Flying Fish--wonderful seared strip steak with a devine hollandise type sauce---Yummmmmmmm!

Another vote for Shulas for steak.
Portobello Yacht Club DTD has one of the best wine lists on property.Has won a number of awards from Wine Spectator among others.

Flying Fish on the boardwalk has one of the best steaks and wine lists in any of the restaurants on disney property. Give it a shot, you won't be disapointed.
