STD - Do you have it?

DH's company is offering STD and I wondered if y'all thought it was worth the payroll deduction.

I have it and it doesn't cost that much through the plan my employer uses. Just a few dollars a month. I don't recall how much it is off the top of my head, but I think it is worth it just for the peace of mind.

I have it and it's going to be a life saver when I go out on maternity leave.
One of my co-workers wishes she had it when she unexpectedly had surgery on her shoulder.

RR, I'm pretty sure she means short term disability not herpes. But then you never know.

I think it depends on how financially stable you are as to whether or not it would be worth it. If you're living paycheck to paycheck it's probably a good idea.
