Hi, alumni! Me and my roommate were hoping to stay with Disney as part- or full-time after our program ended, but we're not sure how the process of doing that works. Does anybody know who's maybe done it? Thanks!

You'll have to go to internal transfers at casting. It's a small office, the door is to the left before you go up the ramp where you would check in for interviews. You have to make sure your record card is ok and you meet transfer guidelines. If that's all in order you should be good to go!

And be prepared here to take what they have.My sons room mates got different jobs , one better, one worse than what they had in the CP.
My son is doing the monorail, he is bored to death but he got full time and he is waiting til Feb. to transfer to ride operations which is what he did in Disneyland. We shall see how that goes.

My son is in a similar situation now. He's already graduated from college. He is very discouraged because he says that the higher ups don't really want to talk about opportunities for him since he is in the CP. He also says that some rules are changing and since he will not have been employed for 6 months (his program runs August -Jan) he will not be eligible for employment and must leave for 2 months before being eligible. This doesn't make sense to me. He has a specific skill set (languages) that I would think Disney would be able to use, but my son feels like he is running into closed doors everywhere he turns. Any suggestions/ encouragement out there??

If he's a graduate, have him look into Professional Internships.

Its easy, just go to casting six weeks before your program ends and put in what you want

Are you trying to stay in your role or switch roles?

It was very easy for me to stay on as seasonal after my program (though I've subsequently dropped this status :( ). Talk to one of your coordinators, managers, or other leaders in your area and they can help you fill out a form. Then, you can apply to convert to PT or FT status.

Good luck!
