Staying organized in a Value (POP)

My family (2 adults + 2 kids) will be staying at POP again for 10 nights in May.
We all know the value rooms are a bit crowded.
We were there a few years ago and staying organized with all the deoderants, hair thingies, combs, brushes, medications, etc just felt like it was taking over.

I took one of those shoe organizers and come command hooks. Unfortunately I didn't check the size of the command hooks and the little holes on the organizer didn't work with them. We did manage to rig it up but it fell the first day. In this room we had a connecting door. I'm not sure where I'd put this without the big steel door???????

We use the hanging area to hang up some clothes.

I have also thought about a caddy or two and then putting up on the shelf when not in use.

How do you organize things when you stay at POP???

We have stayed value and 2 ways I stay organized are: the shoe organizer, the one we have has 3 loops at the top and it is perfect to hang on the wooden wall hanger with pegs that's right around the corner from the bathroom. The other thing we do is take 1 shoe box per person. When we come "home" at night, it drove me nuts when everyone would just dump their stuff all over the room. Then in the morning we would be looking for wallets etc. Now they put it in their designated shoe box, so in the am when we are leaving, we know where everything is!

While traveling, we usually take a few groceries, usually breakfast stuff, bread, bagels, etc. We use the shoe boxes to store them in to travel (no squished bread), and then we leave the shoe boxes in the room so we don't have to drag them home, although they do come in handy for extra padding for breakables!

We have used a shoe organizer (the kind that hangs over the top of the door). I'm thinking we couldn't close the door all the way, but since there is a curtain in the sink area, whoever was in the bathroom just closed the curtain and still had the privacy needed. I think the idea of the shoe boxes that crazyfordisney2000 mentioned would be really good too.

Our over the door hanger came with metal hooks that we use to hang it from the shelf in the closet area, that way it was out of everyone's way.

If you don't have the hangers, you could use zip ties.

We were at Pop in February and used the shoe organizer. It was so helpful. We hung it over the bathroom door so it was facing the sink area, and it worked great!

I also bought some magnetic hooks to hang lanyards on the door so we found them easily in the morning

In addition to the shoe organizer I use foldable "boxes" I bought at the dollar store. Same idea as PP with shoe boxes but better for us because we fly and they take up less space. We toss odds and ends in them at the end of the day.

I also bought a bunch of locker items when I was doing some back to school shopping for my DD. They are all magnetic and I place them on the back of the door. We can pop our sunglasses in them, hang lanyards around them, etc.

A pop-up hamper is a must for us as well.
