Staying on site question

We plan on staying on site at Grand Californian after cruise this summer. We were not planning on renting a car and was wondering if any of the on site hotel rent our cars for the day. We were thinking about making a trip to legoland.

If anyone knows this wouldbe helpful. Also typical 1 day cost and are reservations needed.

DTD has a car rental place. I can't remember which brand, though.

Alamo car rental is in Downtown Disney. The price would depend on when you are renting. You can probably check rates on their website.

We are doing this in a few weeks. We rented a car from DTD Alamo for like $29 for 24 hours and are going to drive to Legoland on a Thursday. I reserved the car online and they offer a booster seat for DS.

I also forgot to add that we were creative in getting our tickets for Legoland. Lego on their website offers membership for the Brickmaster club for $39. With the membership you get six magazines, six small Lego sets, coupons (we used $15 in coupons from this last week) and the best of all.........a one day admission ticket to the park. This is cheaper than Costco and anywhere else I looked as a one day gate admission is $57 for an adult. Needless to say our family of three now has three magazines coming, three sets of the same Legos........you get the picture.

We did the Brickmaster club last year when we went to Legoland. We did it for the savings, but my kids LOVED IT when the legos would come in the mail. We would talk about our trip all over again. It really is a great thing!

Yes, it is a great deal. We used $15 in coupons at the Lego store in OR a couple weeks ago and we would not of had those coupons had we not been members.
