staying on property--need groceries!!

Hi everyone-I have a question-we are going to wdw in sept. I would like to know if anyone knows of any stores or services that would deliver food to our hotel room. I am looking for grocery type items. We are staying on disney property and we are not renting a car. I called wdw and they said there is no such service available-I find that hard to believe. Any suggestions would be welcome.

I just saw a thread about a grocery delivery service just the other day. The name of the company was "we go shop" and the person that started the thread was very pleased with the service. Here is the link to the delivery company:

We love "We Go Shop"! We've used them many times and have NEVER had a single problem. In December we used them for diapers, wipes, cokes, bottled water, milk, cereal, snacks for the little guy, etc. Their shopping fee is very reasonable and it is just so easy. You even get to select the store they shop at for you. We usually pick the Wal-Mart supercenter since we are familiar with their brands and prices. Just make sure that you submit a good, detailed list with size, brand (if that's important), etc.

For instance:
2 one liter bottles of caffeine free Coke
1 20 oz. jar of Skippy honey roasted peanut butter
1 small jar of mayonaise (any brand)

I really can't say enough good things about this company, and about the couple that runs it in the Disney area! They are starting to be like old friends to us now.

Free Grocery Stop.......We use a towncar service from the airport to the resort and back. For just a bit more than mears and sometimes cheaper depending on the # of people and they provide a free grocery stop.

We have used quicksivler and tiffany towncar - both about $100.00 r/t plus tip and the grocery is free. The plus is that they meet you at the baggage claim, help with baggage if need be and take you to your resort. Return trip they meet you outside the resort and bring you directly to the airport.

I feel that the cost savings with the grocery stop equals any extra on costs and tips. We get breakfast foods, a few sandwich things (pb&J) soda,water snacks and such. I purchase a $3-4.00 styrafoam cooler and ice and we are all set - the resorts all have ice machines for refilling the cooler.

With Mears you wait at the airport with a pager until a bus/van is available to take you to your resort and then stop at several other resorts in route to yours. ON the return trip you will be picked up as much as 4 hours prior to your flight and again visit many other resorts to pick up others on the way to the airport.

Check out the transportation board for recommendations on town car companies as well as the real deal on Mears.

MY sil uses a grocery delivery service and likes that as well but I prefer to pick out my own stuff.

We also used Tiffany Town Car and did the grocery store stop. It was great. I also shipped a box to our hotel ahead of time with diapers, wipes and snacks in it. I sent it to my attention and it was there when we got there.

How definative do you have to be?? Can you just ask for say "smallest jar of creamy peanut butter" for instance? Or would I be better off going to my own grocery store and getting all the particulars?
