Staying on Disney property,but would like to hit SW and US

Hi, all. My sister and I will be staying at the Polynesian hotel in September 2009. It's a longer trip and while I'm more of a Disney person, I'd like to try some new things. We'll probably do Seaworld one day and I figured we could do one day at US. I'm not really a huge roller coaster person but some of the other things look cool.

Anyone done this and not rented a car? I know there are Mears shuttles and taxi's-how much would this run? TIA.

Also, I heard there are multiday tickets/passes that get you into SW/US-is this true?

Taxis will run you about $30 each way. I think Mears shuttle is about $14/person.

I've found driving around the Orlando area is very easy. Everything is very well marked. I would look into renting a car for a couple of days. Its a lot easier (and cheaper) than relying on taxis. You can get some good deals using codes from www.mousesavers.com.
