Any tips for this? I looked to see if they had a deal for buying multiple days at once and it doesn’t seem like it. Does anyone park locally elsewhere and take an Uber over?
If you drive over, you pay and park in one of the massive City Walk parking garages, then take long walk to go through security, and you end up closer to Islands. If you’d rather Uber, I’d get them to drop you off at the Hard Rock Hotel. Walk around the path or go inside take elevator or stairs to first floor, and follow path. It’s a short walk to the Studios and rarely a line at end of path, rather can be much longer lines at City Walk security.
I had a preferred AP so parking was free, but I have used the garage several times when offsite. Last trip even though it was fairly early in the morning I was parked on the roof level so the car was hot when I got back. I have not found the walk/moving walkways or security to be much of an issue. I use the same security when taking the bus from Cabana Bay, the lines go quickly.
I would have no idea where one would park to Uber over, like a shopping center lot? Never thought about it.
I’m not sure where you’d park offsite. There aren’t any super large shopping centers close by. While I suppose you could leave your car at a little strip mall somewhere, I’d worry about something happening to the car or even getting towed if you left it all day. If you really don’t want to pay for parking, you’d want to aim for something like a Walmart where there are a lot of people coming and going to deter theft and so many cars no one would notice yours was there for 12 hours. But then by the time you Uber there and back, you’re probably paying as much as you’d pay to park.
